Chapter 52

SALVATORE SCHOOL-NIGHT
[Kaleb enters the room.]
Kaleb: Dr. S!
Alaric: Kaleb. We just killed a mummy and spent six hours in a van together, and I'm not sure...
Kaleb: I can't find MG.
Alaric: What do you mean?
Kaleb: I just checked in with his hall monitor, but he missed curfew. Monitor said he tried calling you.
Alaric: Ah, that guy from Triad Enterprises took my phone.
Kaleb: All right, whatever. We... we got to find him. This ain't the night for vampires to be walking around unchecked.
"Fullmoon?" Asked Klaus.
"Mhm." Said Audrey.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-MILLER- NIGHT
[Jed approaches Audrey, who is still talking on phone.]
Jed: Wolves are already about to turn back, aren't you coming?
"Why is he not turned?" Asked Klaus.
"I made moonlight ring for him and moonlight earing for Lela, but they usually still turn on full moon, so am i." Said Audrey.
"You did?" Asked surprised Davina.
"Yeah. It wasn't that hard. Uncle Kol helped me make it when i was sixteen." Said Audrey. Kol smiles proudly.
"Impressive." Said Freya.
Audrey: Oh, shit. I forgot. Come on! Where are they?
Jed: In Cellars.
"How did he know were you were?" Asked Elijah.
"I usually go there when i want to be alone, so he guessed probably." Said Audrey.
Audrey: Didn't i say that every turning will happen in woods?!
Jed: They thought we were still on trip and usually you are the one doing boundary spell on full moons, so they can run in woods.
Hayely and Klaus smile proudly.
"You are a very good alpha." Said Hayley.
"Thanks." Smiled Audrey.
Audrey: Okay, i have to go, uncle Kol.
Kol: Okay, mischief. [Audrey hungs up.]
Audrey: Come on. [Audrey goes to leave. Jed sees bourbon bottle on ground.]
Jed: Wait! Were you drinking?
Audrey: I'm not drunk if it's why you asked.

[Hope approaches Alaric.]
Hope: Have you seen Landon? I thought he might be down here with Raf for moral support.
Alaric: Raf's not here.
"Where is he then?" Asked Damon.
Hope: Wait, i though they weren't turning in forest today. [Audrey and Jed enter.]
Audrey: They aren't.
Hope: Audrey? [Audrey ignores her and goes toward cells to check on werewolves.]
Mikaelsons frown at that.
Alaric: The supervisors said he didn't check in. And now MG's missing, too.
"Three students are missing? How did we not get sued yet?!" Said Caroline.
Jed: But it's a full moon. [There is howling sound.]
Hope: Oh, God.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-WOODS-NIGHT
Hope: I don't know why my locator spell didn't work.
"That could only happen by two reasons." Said Freya and looked at Hope worried.
"No spoilers." Said Audrey.
Alaric: If you can't find them, it means they're being cloaked or...
Hope: Or they're dead. I'm aware.
Alaric: What would possess them to leave campus? Why would they be so irresponsible?
Hope: They wouldn't. Something must have happened. [Alaric and Hope see Rafael. He looks terrible. He's sitting on ground and leaning on wall.]
"Oh god! What happened to him?" Said Caroline.
"Nothing good from look of it." Said Damon.
Alaric: Hope. [Hope goes to Rafael.]
Hope: Raf? Raf! Hey, are you okay?
Rafael: MG... Landon...
Hope: Hey, what's going on? Where's Landon?
Rafael: I can't remember.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-CELLAR-NIGHT
[Werewolves are back to human formes and leaving cells. Audrey, Lela and Jed are sitting nearby.]
Jed: (to Audrey) What was that with Hope?
Audrey: What?
Jed: You didn't even look at her and when they went to search for Mg and Rafael, you refused. [Lela looked at Audrey surprised.]
Audrey: So? Rafael isn't in my pack and Mg is vampire. They aren't my resposibility.
"True." Said Kol.
Jed: Normally you would still go.
Audrey: I didn't feel like it now. [Jed gave her a look. Audrey changes the subject.]
Audrey: By the way, i'm going to New Orleans tomorrow.
Lela: Oh. You got Hope to come?
Audrey: She isn't coming. Or i think she isn't coming.
"I would come if not Landon thing." Said Hope.
"I know." Said Audrey.
Jed: You are angry at her.
Audrey: (admits) We fought.
Lela: About what?
Audrey: She always chooses Saltzmans. All i do is protect her and stand up for her, but only thing i get is scolding. She lets them get away with absolutly anything.
"I'm sorry. I should have stood by your side." Said Hope.
"It's okay. It's past." Said Audrey.
Audrey: I gave her a choice, now it's on her. She is either coming to New Orleans or staying with Saltzmans.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-RAFEL'S DORM- NIGHT
[Rafael is breathing hard and trembling. ]
Alaric: Lunar psychosis?
"That really happens?" Asked Klaus.
"What is it?" Asked Elijah.
"His mind is stuck between human and wolf form because of trauma." Said Hayley.
"Trauma?" Asked Marcel and glanced at Hope worried.
Hope: That's a thing?
Rafael: Quit talking. Making noise. [Lela enters room. Rafael growls and gets up.]
Emma: Tardus pulsatio. [Emma slowed his heart down.]
Emma: It's a thing.
Hope: What did you do to him?
Lela: She slowed down his heart. Audrey uses it sometimes with new wolves.
"It helps them calm down." Said Audrey.
Hope: Where is her?
Lela: She said she had bag to pack. I came to check on Rafael.
Hope: Oh.
Alaric: She is going somewhere?
Rafael: (to Emma) What's happening to me? I keep... losing time.
Emma: As I said... lunar psychosis, which means that your mind is in flux, trapped between... your wolf and human states, making it harder to bridge the gap and access your memories like you normally would. It's very rare. It only happens after a premature reversion.
Hope: So something caused your body to shift back before the full moon was over, leaving you like this.
"What happened so bad that it made him shift back on full moon?" Asked Stefan.
Rafael: Wh-What kind of something?
Hope: Usually trauma. Something bad happened.
Emma: We don't know that.
Hope: Three of them left, and only one came back. Something bad happened.
Hayley holds Hope's hand. Hope smiles at her.
Emma: (sighs) Hope...why don't you give us a minute?
Lela: Hope, come on.
Emma: Hope... please. [Hope turns around and leaves. Lela follows.]
SALVATORE SCHOOL-CORRIDOR -NIGHT
[Hope leans on wall and starts breathing hard. Lela touches Hope's arm.]
Lela: Hope?
Hope: I'm fine. [Hope straightens up and walks away.]
Lela: (shakes her head) Stubborn like her sister.
"It's genetic." Said Hope and Audrey and looked at their parents.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-RAFAEL'S DORM-NIGHT
Alaric: What's the danger of him turning wolf again? I mean, this whole wing is filled with sleeping vampires.
Emma: Don't worry, I'll keep him sealed in. What his mind needs now is to be surrounded by all the things that are familiar to him, that connect him to his humanity, not his lycanthropy. [Emma places her hand on Rafael's heart.]
Emma: Corum spiritus. [Alaric kneels next to Rafael.]
Alaric: Rafael, we'll do everything we can to help you, but you need to tell us exactly what happened. You were supposed to be here on campus for spring break with Landon and MG, and now we can't find either one of them.
People sit up. All of them curious what happened.
Rafael: (Exhales) Everyone was leaving. Heading home for spring break.
FLASHBACK-SALVATORE SCHOOL- HALL
[Alaric is talking to students.]
Alaric: All right, everyone, listen up. Absolutely no one leaves campus unless you're in the custody of your guardian. Now, with the full moon approaching, this rule especially applies to our wolves. Now, you know the drill. Vampires to your dorms. Wolves to your bunkers. Absolutely no exceptions. Just because we have a cure for werewolf bites doesn't mean they won't hurt like hell.
"Excuse him? What does he mean we have?!" Said Klaus angrily.
"You gave them your blood?" Asked Freya.
"Of course not, i'm not idiot. Someone could curse me with it. I didn't let Hope do it either." Said Audrey.
"Good." Said Klaus.
"We still help them out if they are need." Said Hope.
[MG gives Alaric paper.]
Alaric: Now, for those of you who are staying behind, we have some activities planned to ensure that your... vacation will be the... dopest, coldest... spring break ever! All right, here's MG, everybody. [MG takes Alaric's place on stage.]
MG: Are your mom and dad... dead?
"I don't think that's good start of speech." Said Caroline.
MG: No place for you in human society? [Hope and Landon are kissing. Audrey is looking at them disgusted and annoyed.]
Klaus, Kol and Marcel are same.
MG: Does being alone leave you triggered? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, it's okay. The Holiday Committee has your back. [Kaleb taps Rafael on shoulder.]
Kaleb: (Quietly): Hey, bro. I need you to do me a favor. Can you look after him while I'm gone on this trip with Dr. S.?MG's doing this little "happy act" thing, but... he gets really weird around holidays.
Rafael: Why?
Kaleb: His family... they... they never invite him home. So, you know, just... hit up his little events and...
"Oh.. poor boy. He doesn't deserve it." Said Caroline.
Rafael: (Groans softly) Mm.
Kaleb: Come on, man, it's-it's the least you can do. Especially after getting down and dirty with the love of his life. [Rafael wips his head toward Kaleb.]
Kaleb: Oh, yeah, everybody knows.
[Rafael looks next to him.]
Kaleb: Yeah, them, too. They know.
Audrey chuckles.
Kaleb: So...
Rafael: (Sighs) All right, uh, whatever, bro. Me and... and Lan will hang with your boy, all right? It's not like we have anything else to do.
MG: Survey says... you just got owned. Don't be mad. This stuff is in my blood. My dad's a trivia god. We play games like this all the time. Uh, we used to. You know, before the...
PRESENT-SALVATORE SCHOOL- MILL HOUSE- NIGHT
[Hope is sitting on stairs and crying. Audrey sees her and rushes to her.]
Audrey: Hope?
Mikaelsons look at Hope worried.
Hope: D-Drey? [Hope wipes her tears.]
Hope: I'm... i'm sorry. I can't come to New Orleans.
Audrey: (worried) What happened?
Hope: Landon... he isn't here and you are angry at me and i- (Crying) I-- I don't want to lose you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Drey. I love you and i love our family. I-- i was really gonna come... i was... and...
Audrey side-hugs Hope. Hope smiles.
Audrey: Hope. Hope, look at me. Take a deep breath. Come on. [Hope takes deep breath.]
Audrey: Hold it in.... let it out. [Hope does it.]
Audrey: Again. [Hope does it few times. She seems to be calmer.]
Audrey: Now explain what happened.
Hope: Landon... Rafael came alone. He, Mg and Landon went together and Rafael came alone with lunar psychosis.
Mikaelsons look at her sadly.
[Audrey seems to realise it.]
Audrey: Something happened to Landon? [Hope's lip quivers.]
Hope: I-- I don't know.  [Audrey hugs Hope. Hope looks surprised.]
"I thought you were mad at her." Said Elijah.
"I was, but she needed me and it's more important than my anger." Said Audrey. Mikaelsons smile at Audrey.
Hope: I... i thought you you were mad at me.
Audrey: It can wait. Shh.. i'm here. [Hope wraps her arms around Audrey, too.]
Audrey: Shh.. It's okay. Landon will be okay. It's okay. I'm here.
FLASHBACK-SALVATORE SCHOOL-MG'S DORM-DAY
Landon: Wait, so let me get this straight. You died and then became a vampire, and then your dad just... ghosted you?
MG: Pretty much. Uh, I hear from my mom all the time, and she just says, like, he's busy. Um, either way, we don't talk.
Caroline frowns. She is already fond of MG.
Landon: Well, maybe you should.
Rafael: Or maybe some things are better left unsaid, right, Lan?
Landon: Sure. But, I mean, the whole point of having a family is so you can... be an actual family. Talk about stuff. Look, what I'm trying to say is, if you want answers... I hope you get them. Because I would do anything to avoid another round of Faction Feud.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-RAFAEL'S DORM-PRESENT/NIGHT
Alaric: No. Please tell me you didn't take MG home.
"What is that reaction?" Said Stefan.
Rafael: We didn't think it was that big of a deal, Dr. Saltzman. [Alaric exhales.]
Rafael: They're just right over the state line in Maryland. We were supposed to make it back before the full moon...
Alaric: Yeah, well, you didn't. And now we're here.
"Alaric! He is already traumatized enough!" Scolded Caroline.
Emma: Ric. Discipline can come after everyone is healthy and safe.
Alaric: Rafael, I am sorry. I am not mad at you. I'm mad at myself. [Hope and Audrey enter room.]
Hope: For what?
Alaric: I got to go. I've got a big mess I need to clean up. You two, stay with Emma. Keep me posted on what you learn, okay? I'll have the school phone on me. [Alaric leaves.]
Audrey: I need a minute. I have a call to make. I'll come back. [Audrey kissed Hope's head and left.]
SALVATORE SCHOOL-AUDREY AND HOPE'S DORM-NIGHT
[Audrey hangs up on Funcle💞 and calls Aunt Barbie💅]
Audrey: Hi, Aunt Bex.
Rebekah: Hi. Why are you calling this late? Did something happen?
Audrey: Yeah, we can't come to New Orleans right now. I'm really sorry, Aunt Bex.
"You are staying for Hope." Smiled Klaus.
"She needed me." Said Audrey. Hope smiled, alomg other Mikaelsons.
Rebekah: Why?
Audrey: Hope's boyfriend, Landon, is missing. Last time he was seen was with vampire with ripper tendencies and werewolf on full moon. Only Rafael came back and he is so traumatized, he can't remember anything.
"You told her?" Asked surprised Marcel.
"I don't go back on my promises, so explained why i couldn't do it this time." Said Audrey.
Rebekah: Oh my god! How is Hope?
Hope smiles at how worried Rebekah got for her.
Audrey: She... (exhales) she will be okay. When we find Landon.
Rebekah: Did you already try locator spell?
Audrey: Yeah, It didn't work.
Rebekah: But if you can't find him...
Audrey: Then he might be dead. I know. [Audrey slides her hand through her hair, looking stressed.]
Mikaelsons look at Hope worried.
Rebekah: Where was he last seen? Can i help?
Hope smiles at her.
Audrey: We don't know yet. Like i said Rafael doesn't remember anything.
Rebekah: (worried) Should i come? Hope will need support.
Klaus smiles happy that his family is taking care of his daughters when he can't.
Audrey: No. No. She has me and if you come, so will others and she won't like to be crowded right now. And it's not like you can do much, whole school is already looking for him.
"I also wasn't sure if Malivore creature would show up, so i didn't want her involved." Said Audrey.
Rebekah: Okay. Tell me if there will be any news or if you need me.
Audrey: I will. [Audrey hungs up on Aunt Barbie💅 and calls Aunt Rapunzel❤️(Freya)]
