Lately

I wonder if you noticed what I'm about to say

I wonder if you believe that I'm always gonna stay

I wonder if you'd be touched, is it okay?

Is this good or bad, that I'd drop everything for you?

I'd leave everything behind just to do anything to help you

Even if you don't really need it

Just say the word and I'll do all that I can

Because I was here first, and I knew from the start

This is gonna last forever, take me with you

I don't care if you make a mistake because I already made a promise

Maybe it's too soon but I'm assuming I know you well enough

I'm assuming you'll always care even when you can't find me in the crowd

I wonder if you'll remember me when the swarm is bigger than my mindset

When there's nothing but a peep, almost silent

Will you know that I made a difference long ago?

Will you remember the memories we're thriving in now?

I'd like to imagine that's so

I don't typically reference colors,

But because of you I feel golden lately

I want to matter this much in the next few years

I want to be special

I feel like I'm finally doing something important

Luckily you appeared right when I needed you

I'm honored that you seem to kinda need me too

Lately my heart and soul completely belong to you

I'm dedicated, I won't ever give up for you

I'll try to be impressive 

Even if I don't get a response from you

Since I know I'll be on your mind 

And it feels like enough for now

So please appreciate my effort

I wouldn't change it for the world

So let me into yours 

I swear I'll always keep you safe
