Ain't That The Truth

What if I don't make it and I'm living on a sign

What if we can't take it and I'll never cross the line

To take me to the finish where I would feel fine

I ain't got no dime

I don't wanna lead a crime

You take my hand so I won't let go

But we both know

I'll end up on the road if I keep living like this

Pretending I would never kiss

Someone like you

Like I would never miss

Holding on to you

Like I'm meant to do

Ain't that the truth?

Ain't that the truth

Tear me down like "Ain't that the truth?"

I can breathe now

Don't you feel that?

Do you feel that?

The weight is gone,

It felt so strong

Don't be alarmed

You can't be harmed

I won't be heard

'Cause I won't be burned

'Cause they don't listen

No they never listen

But they would if I told them that I'll never give in

It will never sink in

Because I don't exist to fit in

To the standard

It's tough to handle

Don't light a candle

Just try to face me

They can't erase me

They can't erase me

Blow out your candle

Or put it on the mantle

I don't need it in my mind

I just wanna find

A place to feel safe

At home, I'll feel safe

Can I please feel safe?
