Destruction

Don't look her in the eye when you tell her she's never been enough

Don't shake your head when she drops a cup

She didn't mean it

She doesn't mean to mess it up

And it doesn't last long

So get over yourself

And tell her it's okay

Tell her she's trying and that's all you want

I know you wouldn't do it

You just wanna prove all the lies you tell

To make her feel like hell

Hasn't she done enough for you?

She's been your slave for far too long

And you try to take her away from everything she is

And all she has

Is broken now

Still somehow you're smiling at her pain

Don't look him in the eye

When you tell him you're disappointed

'Cause he doesn't do anything right

Don't make a fuss when he can't read your mind

Well all he ever wanted was love

He wants to be loved by you

Even when he knows dreams don't come true

Tell him you're sorry,

That you've told too many lies

And it's not his fault that you're the devil sometimes

I know you'd never let it happen

Suffering is all you want him to feel

It hurts to think he'll cry and they won't know why

Because he can't say what you did

Please let us go

We wanna be let go

This house isn't a home

When you think you're sitting on a throne

And all we are is dogs

You tell us when to sit or speak

And stay in place when we have somewhere to be

Some things to say

But we're confined

Because you lock us in the gate

Where nothing feels safe

And love was never an option

"Care" was only destruction.
