carol was on the porch talking to some lady's that were around her.
carol joined rick as he walked past the house, they talked as they walked away. i heard the word "party,"
maybe someone's throwing a birthday party? how do the people here even keep up with that stuff?
i kicked rocks as i walked along the road,

"you know when carls coming back over? well, to ron's"
i turned my head, it was mikey, coming out of his house, his father standing at the door watching him, and me.
"i don't, i can ask him?" i said
mikey joined me, walking beside me but keeping a respectful distance.
"i would like that," mikey said
i nodded and i kept walking, the place was big, not big city big. more like small town big?
"where did you guys stay before coming here?" mikey asked
"uh, a prison, we stayed there for a good while, then things happened, and we had to leave." i said
"ohh, was the prison cool?" mikey asked
"yeah. it was pretty cool, besides getting lost and all."
mikey seemed happy, "what do you do for fun?" i asked
"i normally go over to ron's, play games and talk. i don't do anything besides that. my dad won't let me, he's strict about where i go and all." mikey explained
mikey and i passed by children playing, they used chalk on the sidewalk, and threw water balloons at each other,
would it be weird as a 16 year old if i wanted to join..?
"there's a girl that lives close to the house you moved into, she follows you around. i've seen her, thought you might want to know." mikey said
"what?" i asked
"did you not hear me?" mikey asked
"no i did, just wanted to make sure i heard you right. there's someone following me around?!" i said
"yeah, i think her names noelle..? she came here after being with the saviors for so long, the leader, he wanted her to be here." mikey explained
saviors..?
"anyways, no one knows much about her, besides the fact that her uncle is the leader of the saviors. she doesn't talk to anyone, it's slightly unnerving" mikey said poking fun
"well.., next time you see her following me, tell her off for me?" i asked
"sure thing, oh yeah. there's a party tonight, deanna is doing the party for your people, you going to be there?" mikey asked
"party? uh, i'll ask carl if he's going" i said
mikey nodded, he waved goodbye and headed right back to his house.
i sighed. i wonder when everyone will be back home? carls probably reading comics, and enid is most likely with ron.
