15. Sumedh protects Mallika

Mallika pov:
Today is Holi celebration in School. I don't wanted to go to School but the attendance was compulsory. I went there was no one is in class everybody must be out celebrating Holi. I took out my books yesterday I didn't able to study the whole day got wasted. I was marking some important points.
"Hey Mallika good morning"
I heard Abhinav's voice.

"Good morning"
He sat on his seat.

"happy holi.."
He came near with his hand full Holi colour I closed my eyes.

"no, Abhinav I...I have phobia of holi colours"
I said covering my face with my hand.

"no more excuses, you have to play Holi with me"
I stood up and took a step back.

"please no, I don't want to play. Please"
I requested him. But he didn't stopped he came forward. I closed my eyes sat down on the floor.

"She said no, can't you understand"
I heard Sumedh's voice. I opened my eyes he was standing infront of me.

"Don't come in between us just go"
Abhinav shouted at him back. And was about to take a step forward but Sumedh pushed him. He fell on the ground.

"You want to play holi right. I will play with you"
He took a plate full on colours and showered it on him and then took a bucket full of water and throws it on his face.

"How can I forget the most important thing"
He took a egg and throws it on his head. Abhinav fists his hand in angry.

"go and take a shower you smell really bad"
Sumedh left from there dragging me with him holding my hand. I turned and looked at Abhinav he was staring at Sumedh angrily.

"Why Can't you understand he is not like you think"
I didn't replied anything and went to library. I searched for a book I wanted and it was kept on a top shelf. I jumped to pick it but I can't able to reach I again jumped and this time I grabbed the book and pulled it but with it the whole shelf books were started falling I closed my eyes and sat on the ground and closed my ears with my hand. I felt someone hugging me from back and protecting me. I opened my eyes and turned to see that person. Yes, it was that weirdo Sumedh he covered us from his coat and the books fell on him. He closed his eyes tightly in pain.

"Sumedh are you alright, why did you came here??"

"Dumb girl why do you always create problems??"
He said in pain. I stood up, I don't know what to do. He looked at me.

"I'm alright"
He tried to stand up holding the support of the shelf.

"Aaooo!"
But fell down holding his shoulder. I helped him to stand.

"Come with me"
I wrapped my arms around his shoulder and took him to our classroom.

"sit here"
I made him sit and started searching for the medicines I want.

"Is this your bag or first aid kit??"
Sumedh asked looking at the medicines on the desk which I took out from my bag.

"I live in hostel na, so nobody is there to take care of me. I should take care of myself"
I said still searching for medicines.

"aren't your roommates good??"

"they are the worst. They have never talked to me. When I'm late for School they haven't woke me up"

"Complain about them to your warden and change your room"

"no, I like that room. Yes,Found it"
I finally got the medicine.

"now, what is this??"
He said looking at the medicine.

"It's pain relief cream, you will feel better. Remove your shirt"

"what??"
He asked being shocked.

"I can't apply it on your shirt.  Remove your shirt"
I said taking some cream in my hand.

"give it to me I will apply it by myself"

"I have already seen you shirtless"
He sees around.

"but, here??"

"nobody gonna come here all are busy in celebrating Holi outside"
He took off his off with hesitation. There was having many red marks. He shouldn't have saved me those books were so heavy and big. It must have hurt him a lot. I applied cream on his red mark. His body Shivered feeling my touch. I slowly applied.

"ouchhh!!"
He screamed in pain. I blowed some air. I was finished applying.

"take this tablet"

"tablet?? Do you want to kill me??"

"If I want I would have killed you when I met you at the first time. It will only kill pain not you"
He gulped the tablet with water. And started wearing his shirt.

"why are you wearing it??"

"I can't stay here"
He stood up to go but he stopped and holds his head and closes his eyes.

"Sumedh, what happened. Sit here"
I made him sit.

"haven't you eaten anything??"

"woh...yes"

"you should have eaten something before taking the tablet I also forgot to ask you"
I took out cup noodles from my bag and forwarded it to him.

"eat this"

"no, I don't want to eat this"
I took out a box of cupcakes from my bag.

"okay, then eat this"

"cupcakes??"

"And this also"

"Chips, biscuits??"

"or else.."
I was searching something else.

"Wait, don't you have kept cosmetics in your bag like other girls??"

"cosmetics?? Why should I keep it in my bag?? They are useless. I don't even like it"
He smiled and took cup noddles.

"Cup noddles is enough for me"

"Okay"
I added some hot water and gave it to him. He ate it happily.
