Saturday, December 6th
Krissy

Hearing running downstairs, I look over at my clock. It was 8:06 am the girls were already up running around on a Saturday. I was hoping to sleep in but I promised the girls we would decorate the tree today. My phone rings on my night stand. It was Samaria. Sheesh, everybody's up early.

Krissy: Good morning. You're up early.
Samaria: Morning boo. You are too.
Krissy: Unfortunately. What's up?
Samaria: Are you coming to the Christmas party today?
Krissy: Oh wow. I forgot all about that. Wait, I can't. I have the girls.
Samaria: Bring them!
Krissy: Girl, I don't know about all that now.
Samaria: Come on. We can make it family friendly for you. We don't want to leave you out. Everyone's bringing their man. Nyla bringing her man and her pregnant belly.
Krissy: And I'm bringing kids? *laughs* Who are they gonna play with?
Samaria: Us. We got games planned. Come on Krissy.
Krissy: Ugh, I don't know. I don't want to bring them around everybody too soon or too sudden.
Samaria: I understand. Is there anybody who could possibly watch them? What about Mama J?
Krissy: I'm not sure if she'll want them running around her brand new house. I know there will be kids over there though, there always is. Maybe I've gotten attached to them.
Samaria: Most definitely and that's fine. That just means you care about them. Mama J would literally do anything for you, she loves you girl. If you're feeling up for it, I say call her. The party is at six and you can leave whenever you want so you won't have to keep the girls up too late.
Krissy: I'll let you know and I'll give you a call back.
Samaria: Okay. Tell the girls Aunt Sam says good morning!
Krissy: I will!

I end the call and roll out of bed to do my facial routine. After fixing my sheets and comforter, I walk downstairs to see the girls had lowkey made a mess in the living room. Taylor's toys were everywhere. Tiana was on the couch with Kane and her blanket watching TV while drawing.

"Good morning. Aunt Sam says hi. I just got off the phone with her,"
"Hi!" Taylor responds back.

Tiana was too busy into her notebook.

"Are we still decorating the tree?"
"We sure are. All of the decorations are in the box. I'm gonna make breakfast first and then we can get started. Ya'll wanna help?"
"Yes," they both say.
"Come on."

Kane whines in his cage. I let him outside to use the bathroom before filling his bowls with food and water.

After washing my hands, the girls and I get started on breakfast. We decided on pancakes, strawberries, eggs and bacon.

As we cook breakfast, I try and decide about the Christmas party. It would be my first time away from the girls. They had only met mama J on the phone but they loved her. Maybe I should get their opinion before asking her to watch them for a few hours.

"So a little later, I have plans to see some friends. Would you guys want to go to mama J's house? If not that is completely fine!"
"Yes, I wanna go." Taylor says.
"How long will you be gone?" Tiana asks.
"Only about two hours. Mama J will more than likely cook you guys dinner."
"Can we watch a movie together when we get back home?" Tiana asks.
"Can we get ice cream too?" Taylor adds.
"And can we watch Moana?" Taylor asks.

"We can watch a movie when we get back. Yes, it can be Moana. It may be a little late for ice cream but we will see." I respond.
