The produce is collected in a collecting drum which is then manually checked to see if any large pieces are left uncut. 2. Drum Chipper These are made to handle all types of wood. These require horizontal feed that gets cut by perpendicular action of the sharp blades. They are comparatively faster in action and needs lesser maintenance. The products have consistent shape and size due to harmonic action of blade. 3. Disk Chipper The blade is in form of a flywheel, which is in steel disk form arranged in vertical direction. As the logs are inserted, the rotating blade cuts through the wood. Shape of knives depends on the chipping results needed.
