Most of the guests gathered around where the dance floor would be.
Tam bit his lower lip as he was searching for his husband. Dex kept looking about for Wyatt as well.

"Where are they-?" Dex began.
Dex felt arms wrap around his shoulders from behind and Dex looked over his shoulder.
"Please never leave me alone with Keefe again." Wyatt whined, hiding his face in the crook of Dex's neck.
Dex felt himself smile as he kissed Wyatt's head.
"Did he bite?" Dex grinned.
Wyatt gently kissed Dex's neck.
"No, but... God, I hate Empaths." Wyatt mumbled.

Fitz glanced at Dex and Wyatt. He felt himself slightly frown as he seen how... sweet and loving the two of them seemed to act.
Fitz's attention was instantly drawn to the dance floor as he heard Tam scowl.
"Keefe!"

Fitz raised his eyebrows as Keefe had his hands on his hips as he wore a beautiful, ballgown wedding dress.
"What?" Keefe smiled at his husband.
"Do I not look nice, my love?"
Tam stared at his husband, who was making his way over to him and he was speechless.
Tam gently rested his hands on the side of Keefe's neck.
"You... actually look quite nice." Tam sighed.

"But please stop taking me by surprise. And are you sure you can dance in that?"
Tam looked up and down at Keefe.
"... I can certainly try!" Keefe smiled at his husband, holding Tam's waist.
"Let's get the music going!!"
The music started playing and Tam couldn't help but laugh as Keefe began to dance with him in a goofy way at first.

Dex smiled as he watched Tam and Keefe dance. He reached his hands up towards Wyatt's hands and he held them. Wyatt kissed Dex's cheek.
Dex let out a soft sigh as he fiddled and played with Wyatt's fingers now.

His mind felt... strange. He was supposed to feel happy in this moment, right? I mean... he kind of made up with Fitz after not seeing or speaking for like years. And he had a super sweet boyfriend who cared for him, and would do anything for him.
So... why did he feel so conflicted?

Fitz tilted his head as he watched Keefe and Tam properly dancing together and holding each other close with such smitten looks on their faces. Fitz smiled as he was happy for his best friend. I mean, Keefe was with the love of his life. While Fitz...
He... he does love Elowyn. Of course he does. He loves her... She's his wife, he had to love her.

"Seriously, Keefe, if you wanted to wear a dress like genuinely while we were getting married, I wouldn't have minded." Tam whispered to Keefe.
"Tam, sweetheart. I'm happy wearing whatever. And I just wanted to surprise you in this dress. It's not like it doesn't accentuate my body, right?" Keefe questioned, his voice low and quiet.
Tam couldn't help but laugh.
Tam rested his forehead against Keefe's.
"You actually suit dresses, my love. I think you look extremely attractive." Tam said softly.
"Awh~ why thank-" Keefe began.
Tam cut off Keefe with a kiss and Keefe smiled into the kiss, kissing his husband back.

Linh sighed softly and smiled as she rested her head on Marella's shoulder.
"Ugh, they're so cute." Linh sighed.
Marella smiled as she kissed Linh's forehead.
"So when's our wedding?" Marella asked.
Linh groaned.
"Eugh, too much money. And for what reason? Why do we need to be married to prove that we think we're forever?" Linh asked, smiling at Marella.

Marella raised her eyebrows.
"You're saying that at your brother's wedding." Marella said.
"And I love how Keefe is now my brother in law, but... Eh, I don't see us getting married. But I do see us growing old together." Linh smiled at Marella.
Marella hummed.
"Y'know what? I'm fine with that." Marella sighed, kissing Linh's head.

The song came to an end and Keefe and Tam stopped dancing, but still held onto each other.
"Mmh...okay, well I need to get changed back into my tux!" Keefe exclaimed, slightly backing away from his husband.
"But! My dear groom will be having a mother-son dance! And then we will have everyone else dancing in no time!"
Keefe smiled at the crowd and Tam raised his eyebrows.

"Uhm, since when was I dancing with my mother-?" Tam questioned.
"Since I seen the way you looked at her and definitely missed her when we were getting wed!" Keefe smiled at Tam as Mai slowly made her way towards her son.
Tam looked at his mother and he smiled at her.
"We don't have to." Mai said, raising her hands.
"... Let's do it." Tam sighed out.
"Why not?"

Music started playing again and Tam reluctantly began to dance with his mother. It was clearly awkward at first, but... they both soon got into it.

Keefe went over to Fitz and smiled.
"Help me get out of this?" Keefe asked, grinning at Fitz.
Fitz sighed.
"Sure. C'mon, let's go." Fitz said, patting Keefe's back.
"What? Fitz-" Elowyn began.
"I'll be back, dear." Fitz smiled at his wife as he walked off.

Dex glanced and seen Fitz walk off, following behind Keefe. Dex bit his inner cheek and Wyatt unwrapped his arms away from Dex.
"Hey, you okay?" Wyatt asked.
Dex turned around and faced Wyatt.
"... I'm okay." Dex softly smiled at Wyatt.
Wyatt raised his eyebrows.
"Really? You sure?" Wyatt asked, taking Dex's hands into his.
Dex sighed out and squeezed Wyatt's hands.

"... I just think... We need to have a real conversation when we get back to your place." Dex smiled at Wyatt.
"But... let's just have fun until then, yeah?"
Wyatt rubbed the back of Dex's hand with his thumb.
"Should I be worried?" Wyatt raised his eyebrows.
Dex shrugged.
"I don't know." Dex said.
"But, I love you, Wyatt. Okay?"
Dex smiled at his boyfriend in a comforting way.
Wyatt bit his lower lip.
"Mmh... alright." Wyatt said.
"I love you too."
Wyatt leaned in and pecked Dex's lips.

~~~~~
Fitz undid the back of Keefe's dress and Keefe let out a relieved sigh as he started to slip out of his dress.
Fitz backed away and turned away, looking at the ground as Keefe was getting changed out of the dress and back into his tuxedo.
"Soo... how was it when I got you some time without Dex's new boyfriend there?" Keefe asked.
"Fine." Fitz shrugged.
"Dex and I aren't friends again but it's not as awkward as I thought it'd be. We're just... acquaintances, I guess."
Keefe hummed.
"And... how do you feel about our good buddy Dexter?" Keefe questioned as he buttoned up his shirt.
Fitz scoffed.
"Keefe, I'm married." Fitz said.
"Mmh... yes, and how do you feel about seeing Dex with a new guy and happy and-" Keefe began.
"Could you quit it?!" Fitz scowled.
Fitz turned around and he glared at Keefe. Keefe stared at himself at the mirror as he redone his tie. His expression shown no bother from Fitz's outburst, yet Keefe was smirking.
"... Fitz?" Keefe said, still staring at himself in the mirror.
"What?" Fitz huffed.
"You remember how years and years ago we made a bet. I said you were in love with Dex and you said you weren't?" Keefe questioned, smoothening out his tux.
"And... well, I won that bet. Yet, I haven't cashed in that 'favour' for you."
Keefe smiled as he turned around and faced his best friend.
"Do you see where I'm going with this?"
Fitz sucked in a breath.
"... Dex is happy with his new boyfriend." Fitz said.
"Keefe, I am not... I can't... I--I'm over him."
Keefe took a deep breath and he smiled comfortingly at Fitz.
"... Let's leave it for now. But as soon as Dexter is single, I am cashing in that favour." Keefe said, walking past Fitz.
"And I know you are not in love with your wife~!"
Fitz stayed standing in the same spot as Keefe left the room. Fitz looked at the mirror just a few feet away and he took a deep breath as he ran his fingers through his hair.
Keefe was being ridiculous. And Fitz was married, while Dex had a boyfriend. Fitz couldn't do that to Dex. He couldn't... ruin everything for Dex again.
So, Fitz would continue to be in a loveless marriage while his feelings for Dex will remain deep within and hidden.
