Want to meet you

Once I drive over to Impa's I get more and mire anxious, I really don't want Impa to be sad "Imp" I say knocking on her dorm room

"Come in Zel, the doors unlocked" she says, she sounds happy but I don't want to jinx it

"Hey Zelda" Midna says watching the tv with Impa cuddled up next to her

"Midna! It's wonderful to see you!" I say with a bright smile

"Yeah you too!" She says and I cant tell if it was sarcasm or if she was being genuine

"Right Imp I just came to check on you I'll see you later yeah?" I say and she nods

"Oh wait Zelda" Midna says "I would like to talk to you" she says getting up

"Oh yeah of course" I say still smiling, god my cheek muscles hurt

"Thank you!" She says hugging me "if it wasnt for you and Link I would've never came to my senses" she says

"I'm just glad your back together and your happy" I say

"I hope you don't mind but I'm taking Impa to France to meet my mum in the winter break!" She says before whispering something about Link that I couldn't quite catch

"of course if Impa's okay with it" I say with a nod

"Yep we have the tickets and everything!" She says smiling "I'm so excited" she says and I smile

"I'm pleased" I say with a genuine smile, I really am Impa deserves to be happy, one thing I am worried about is what if they have another argument in France and Impa has nowhere to go, she doesn't even know french! "I have to go I have my first lesson" I say before waving "bye Imp" I say and she yells a bye back

When I get out I call Link and he immediately answers "are you ok?" He asks

"Yeah, Midna's back with Impa" I say and he stays silent for a while and I start driving from the dorms to the main part of the campus

"Thats good" he says

"Yep" I say parking in a spot "so I want to take you somewhere after lessons so meet me at...the gym?" I say getting out the car

"Ok, I'll see you later ma ange" he says before hanging up. I walk to my Fathers office knowing thats where he'll probably be,

"Hey Ms Ashai is he free?" I ask and she nods

"Go right through" she says with a weak smile, I get it, Tuesdays

"Ah Zelda! This is a surprise!" He says with a wide smile

"Yes I just wanted to let you know that Sonia and Rauru are back you know since they're your in laws" I say and he sighs, I can tell he wants to say something about the fact I just called Sonia and Rauru by their first names but he stops himself

"Well thank you Zelda...that was very thoughtful of you" he says with a small smile

I stay silent only nodding pressing my lips into a line "I miss mum" I say quietly and he walks over to me

"I miss her too" he whispers before hugging me. "You remind me of her" he says stroking my hair, We spend a few minutes like that until I leave for my first class

I walk over to the gym after my last lesson to see Link, Karson and Harth kicking a football around the pitch outside the gym. I sit down on the floor beside the pitch and pull out a book from my bag 'they both die at the end' it's a good book but it reminds me that everyone does die eventually and I don't know how I would be able to live if Link died

He doesn't realise that I am sitting there so I take a moment to admire him. He's focused on the ball, he's so cute when he's focused, "Hey Zelda!" Malon says walking over to me, Link turns his head over to us when he hears my name and comes running over "it's been a while!" She says and I nod, standing up

"It has! How are you?" I ask giving her a small hug

"I'm good, how are you?" She says as Link approaches us

"I'm good thanks" I say with a smile

"I didn't know you were here" He says hugging me from behind "hey Malon" he says and she nods to him

"Ill see you guys later" she says before running off to play with Karson and Harth

"where did you want to take me?" He whispers to me as I put my arms over his

"Urbosa's" I say so he goes to get his stuff before running back over to me

"How long were you there for?" He asks as we walk to my car

"Not long" I say getting in "how long were you waiting?" I ask him

"Not long" he copies my words as I drive to Urbosa's

"Okay, so my grandparents want to meet you..." I say giving him a warning

"Okay, should I be scared?" He asks making me laugh, being scared of Sonia and Rauru is just a funny thought to me

"No, there my mothers parents so they're nothing like my Father" I say and I see him relax a bit

"Ok" he says as I pull into Urbosa's driveway

"Don't be nervous there lovely" I say with a soft smile before getting out the car

I unlock the door with my keys and let Link in before walking inside myself "Why are they at Urbosa's?" He whispers

"Good question" I whisper back "I don't know" I say quietly leading Link up the stairs not wanting them to see him yet

"Zel what are you doing?" He asks as I pull him into my room

"I need you to wear this" I say taking off his hoodie and passing it to him

"Ah yes you need me to wear my clothes" he says pulling the hoodie over his

"It's school merch Link! With your name on! They'll love it!" I say trying to make the best impression

"Who cares that much about school merch?" He asks with a small laugh

"They used to have Fathers job" I say and he lets out an 'ah' sound "they love that school" I say below a whisper "anyway one last thing and then we'll go down" I say

"Whats that then? I think i look per--" He says but I cut him off with a kiss before he can finish the sentence "I love you" he whispers when we pull apart

"I love you too" I whisper back "you ready?" I ask and he nods "come on then" I say taking his hand and leading him down stairs

"Zelda! Your back!" Sonia says hugging me when she sees us "and you must be Link! Im Sonia" She says with a smile

"It's really nice to meet you Sonia" he says smiling

"You know it's funny, when you were little Zelda you we're certain you would never have a boyfriend and here we are" she says with a small smile before leading us into the garden
