38. TRAINING

KATRINA'S POV

I was sitting at my desk when there was a knock on my door.  "Come in."  I looked up and saw an elderly gentleman walk in bowing to me.  "Future Alpha Katrina, I am Alpha Winston of the Wistful pack."   "Nice to meet you."  "Future Alpha Katrina the pack you absorbed from William was not his original birth pack."  I shook my head "what?"  "See my son Walter had intended to reject his Goddess-given mate.  In our pack much like yours, we do not accept a chosen mate. "

He took a deep breath "he had already gotten a human pregnant and intended to leave the pack to that child.  Yes, you guessed it Wiliam.  Even though this human did not have a wolf William had his own wolf.  Eventually, Walter found his chosen mate mated her, and produced his first true heir in our eyes.  When I declared that Paul his secondborn would be my successor he left the pack."  "Wait but he was an Alpha."

"Yes, due to his Alpha blood.  When he left the individuals that he had chosen as his commanding line left with him.  He was not happy he had to use the commanding line that inherited their positions.  He wanted commanders who never questioned him.  He started his own pack with individuals who wanted a fresh start.  So, he started this new pack and took his true mate and sons with him.  I did not know that he locked her up and recorded her while he cheated on her with his high school girlfriend.  It wasn't until Paul contacted me and told me everything."

I nodded "OK, are you telling me this so I don't kill him and his mate."  "No, I am telling you this because today Paul linked me to meet him at our secret spot.  When he arrived he had his mother and another she-wolf named Giselle.  Before you go after her family I was asked to tell you that she is not a rogue.  She is there to get information.  She sent a warning to you that he does not intend to kill you but to force you to be his chosen mate."

I stood up suddenly roaring "he will not lay a hand on me." "Of course not Future Alpha Katrina.  I believe this warning was to make sure the current commanding line and your mate were kept safe.  I have a feeling he knows you are the prophesized wolf and intends to use your powers to take over the world."  I nodded "Thank you for letting me know.  I will make sure everyone that needs to know will be informed. Wait what about his mate."

"She will reject him during the battle.  Right now Walter is watching a replay video.  He believes that she is still in the shack.  Don't worry about the pain he causes her for cheating.   Giselle gave her a potion that will block her from the pain."  I couldn't help but laugh "I bet I know exactly who gave her that potion."  "Who?"  "My good friend Hortencia."

He just nodded and left my office and headed into the conference room where I had asked all the current and future commanding lines to meet.  I even included all the leaders from the different factions. Once everyone was sitting around the table I  informed them of everything that was told to me in my office.  Of course, Tristan instantly grabbed me pulling me on his lap and burying his nose in my neck.  

After the meeting, I spoke with Anthony, and the two of us headed to where her family was staying.   The young man who answered the door couldn't hide the surprise and fear on his face.  "Future Alpha Anthony and Future Alpha Katrina how can I help you?"  I smiled at him "We would like to speak to your family.  It is extremely important."  He nodded and led us into the family room.  I looked at Anthony "Yeah, the witches really made the camp like home."  Smiling I take a seat waiting for the rest of the family.

It wasn't long before everyone entered and took seats.  I couldn't help but notice the mother was crying and the father stood up and immediately started "If this is about Giselle know that we are going to disown her."  "NO, DON'T."  He looked at me funny "Future Alpha Katrina she has sided with Walter."  I shook my head "No, she didn't."  Anthony laughed "Tony I have not felt her leave the pack."  "But when Lou there found her she smelt of rouge."
