They looked utterly focused on both Yamato, and his fleet. Kentucky seemed to level his head and tipped his cowboy hat at Yamato then spoke.
"You're mighty far from dry dock pretty boy. You sure you want to play around in our mud pit? Might get a few gouges in your armor plates... I'm sure it would be a costly repair job." Kentucky makes small conversation with Yamato, to my utter SHOCK he's taunting, and even threatening Yamato in his own way. Not even slightly expressing any hints of fear or concern to Yamato, maybe even downplaying the war vessels threat to himself! Yamato tsk's at the statement, walking about 40 feet forwards, stopping only with 80 feet between Himself, Alaska and Kentucky. "You American's have one weird sense of humor. Do you not take my threats seriously? Or do you not know whom your surrounded by?" Yamato speaks, rather unoffended, but also annoyed by Kentucky. Kentucky places his hands on his hips and speaks with a smirk rather wittingly. "Why of course I do! I'm 68% sure that your fleet here is the most expensive fishen boat's the Sakura Empire ever built! So, I'd be minding my P's and Q's around me if I was yal. But I know you got another culture over there and you might not know who I am... So, excuse my French, But you ant shit, never gonna be shit, couldn't do shit, and when I'm done, you gonna be just that... Shit. So, if I may, you'd had better get the steppen before I open up this here can of whoop ass on your tugboats." He threatens further. I can't tell if Kentucky is an absolute legend for this, or an absolute idiot.
"HAHA, I like the lassie! Full of piss and vinegar that one is!" Berwick laughs in his Scottish accent at Kentucky's treating of Yamato.

Your first battle is at the time of Pearl Harbor fighting along side USS Augusta, USS Kentucky USS Alaska, USS AARON WARD, HMS Cornwall HMS Berwick and a number of others against the Yamato fleet. Your character Cowpens is a pretty relatable and interesting individual who's seeming hopeless in the love department and is a bit shy about showing his true self around those he doesn't really know chapter one and the introduction chapter are out now go check it out hornets the front cover of the book
