• Although he is very passionate about food, he often burns things and doesn't get recipes right the first try
• That never stops him though, and he always ends up eating his creations even when they're burnt to a crisp; everyone else eats them aswell since they don't want to hurt his feelings

• Even if he remembers to eat and tries to make something, he never remembers how the ovens work and stuff so it turns out to be a hot mess

• He used to eat rats out of the sewers and stuff so by all technicalities he shouldn't be able to cook
• Ume was fussy though so whenever he would catch a rat for her to eat, he had to season it first 💀
• Whipped up a 5 course meal made of an entire elementary school cuz Daki asked him to, although it didn't require much cooking just... yk... murder...
• He's no master chef but he makes do with the resources available to him (rats and dead people) which is fair enough ig 😭😭😭
