Worthless Punishment

Who has ever 

been punished

for something worthless

or just misunderstood?

Something that 

you knew

why were you doing it

and the purpose? 

I have 

and there's too many times to count.

Punished for speaking my mind

or hoping the impossible

or saying the truth

or living life free 

or thinking out of the box

or failing to reach other people's expectations 

just because they're not my own

or Dreaming

a different dream

or unchaining myself

or trying to 

unchained myself.

all but more reason

to keep living

to do the things 

you were punished 

to not do.
