AMAYA

I was back home, at last. Though I did love being with Chase, it was nice to know that we could all stay at our homes safely.

Right when I arrived home I got a message from him, saying that he was going to a party tonight, therefore he wouldn't see any messages I sent. I didn't really mind that, all I could think of is how much this man actually parties.

It wasn't that late yet, 8 pm. I forgot to ask Chase what time he would be partying, but most parties don't start until 10 and don't get good until 1 am.

I had eaten dinner before leaving with Eleanore, so I wasn't hungry. I had nothing to do other than take the shower that I was planning on from when Chase came to get me.

I sprinted to my bathroom, taking my clothes off of my body and leaving them on the counter.
I bet Chase would love to see me this way. I slid the glass door of the shower to the side, stepped inside and closed it again.

After I took a long, warm shower, I began doing some self care, since I hadn't been taking care of myself that much ever since Chase and I began dating.

I put a bunch of oils and creams on my face, brushed through my hair gently and also put some rosemary oil in the roots. I put my favourite big t-shirt that I usually were to bed, and pijama pants. I checked the time again, 12 am.

Though it was quite late, I wasn't tired yet. I had been sleeping my ass off the past two days with Chase since everyone was working.

I turned the tv on and just chilled on my couch. Then I got a phone call, which was weird because it was so late, but it wasn't weird for too long since I found out that it was Naomi calling, my dear neighbour.
"Hello?" I spoke when I picked up.
"You're not sleeping, are you?" she asked.
"No, not yet." I confirmed.
"Great. I'm coming over."

She hung up before I could say something in return.

And in no time, my doorbell was being ringed on. I opened the door and spotted Naomi. Her hair was in a messy bun with a few strands hanging, she was wearing an oversized black t-shirt with grey sweats.
She was holding her keys and her phone in one hand, while in the other one she was holding a wine bottle and two wine glasses.

"Come on in." I smiled. "Thanks, dear," she smiled back and stepped inside. She took a seat on the separate sofa and placed her phone and keys down on my little glass table. "You'll have some wine, right?" she asked and winked, knowing the answer.

"And so she comes in the next day for our next session," Naomi said and took a sip from her -almost empty- wine glass; "and you know we have our little conversation, and then she started crying."

"What happened?" I asked.
"Well," she said before opening the wine bottle again "take a sip, so that you'll be prepared."

I did as she said and then she spoke again; "So I asked her about her husband, that's when she started crying. I let her calm down a bit and later on asked why she was being hysterical, and she said because she knew that Ted was cheating."

I gasped as shock took over me. Naomi was telling me about her friend, who went to therapy. Naomi ended up being her therapist, and now she was telling me about all the crazy shit that happened.

Cheryl, the woman that was crying, was the one Naomi was treating. And Ted wa stage cheating husband.

What was crazy is that the person Ted was cheating with, was Charlotte, Cheryl's sister.

"And then" Naomi kept going "she asked me if I knew anything." she said in a sad tone.

"And you know, I just didn't have the heart to tell her that it was her own sister." she said, and drank some of her wine.

I also drank all the wine from my glass, after hearing all of this horrific stuff. Naomi has been a therapist for almost twenty years, and that's good because she always tells me all the crazy things that she deals with.

"Well, I'd better go" she said after a moment of silence "Taylor might wake up and wonder where I am."

She got up, gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheeks before leaving. Taylor was her husband, you know, the one that she always argued with.

Where was Chase? That question ran through my head during the whole incident. I was expecting him to come and save me. But he didn't. And even if he did, he was late. The bad had already happened. But at best I can say that it's over now. But I can still feel it. That cold touch. Tears were creating a flood on my cheeks and I could not get my body to stop shaking. I was still begging for it to stop. Thought it already did. I knew he would come for me again. He would never give me peace. I was now more sure than ever.

Then my thoughts stopped, as I heard Chase; "Amaya?"
