I just want to clear up some things.
Brad did shift at an early age because he met Jo.
But everybody else shifts at 16 but they do have the strength and extra abilities.
They just don't have their wolf yet.

"Jo." I hear a soft whisper
I roll over on my other side, not wanting to be woken up.
"Jo get up." The voice I recognize to be Brad's got a little louder.
"Hmm hhum"I mumble while swatting my hand at him.
He catches my hand and continues to hold it. The buzzing feeling going through my body wakes me up.
I turn my head to face his cute, or rather gorgeous face.
Over the years he got more taller and muscular... And cuter.
"You are so beautiful Jo."
My face heats up at his compliment.
"Thanks" I whisper.
I start to move out of the bed to get dressed.
I pull an outfit from my drawers.
I almost start to take my clothes off when I notice Brad looking at me.
"Brad! I thought you left!" I yell at him. My mouth agape and eyes wide. I don't even notice him.
He laughs.
"I'm glad I didn't." He says with a smile.
Ugh he almost saw me without any clothes on.
That would've been embarrassing.
I don't exactly have a good fourteen year old girls body.
I don't really have big boobs.
Although I kinda have a butt, i get cautious of boys looking at me.
It seems like every girl at my school has these ginormous boobs and butts.
When I stand next to them my self esteem goes down.
Because I don't have good self esteem, I'm really shy to anyone except my family.
And Brad of coarse.
After I'm done getting ready i head down stairs to eat breakfast.
I hear the loud laughter of all the kids in the pack.
(They have sleepovers a lot because they both don't like being away from each other.
And no they have never done anything sexual if you were wondering. Jo is still quite oblivious to everything.)
I see Brad and instantly walk over to him.
I sit next to him and get myself some food from the table.
"Hey Jo." I look up to see Josh looking at me with a small smile.
"Hey Josh." I reply softly not wanting to draw any attention to myself.
Too late, at the sound of my voice everybody looks at me.
My face starts to heat up and I turn to look at Brad.
He gives me a reassuring smile and grabs my hand.
I instantly relax.
I turn to every body and give them a timid smile. That seems to pull them out of their trances and they go back to eating.
Well not everyone. Carry, a girl from my grade gives me a disgusted look. Then looks at Brad and smiles at him.
Wow....ok. I don't know what I did to her. I don't even talk to her.
I look back at Brad and see him giving a small smile back to Carry.
I guess he was just being nice to her... Or he's attracted to her. What guy wouldn't be attracted to her? She is gorgeous with her long red hair and bright green eyes.
Don't get me started on her body.
