He carries me all the way to the kitchen. And places me on a chair.
Honestly, my stomach doesn't really hurt anymore. It's just a little sore, but if Brad wants me to get checked out then I'll do it because I want him to be happy.
"Mom! Where is Doctor Hill?!" He screams.
He looks panicked.
Should I tell him that it's not an emergency?
Brad's mommy runs into the kitchen looking very worried.
"Brad, honey what happened? Who got hurt?"
He looks down at me with a pained and angry look.
"Xander threw the ball at her.....EVEN WHEN SHE WAS ON THE BASE!!" He screams
Brad looks so scary right now. He looks like he could punch someone.
"Calm down ok. You are scaring Jo." Brad's mommy tells him.
I can see Brad calming down after his mommy said that.
He looks back to me
" I'm sorry for scaring you Jo, it's just.....I don't want you to ever be in pain."
He said.
Aw that's sweet, but why does he care about me so much...what is so special about me? I don't see it.
"I heard my name. What seems to be that problem?"
A tall man with brown hair and green eyes says as he walks into the kitchen.
His eyes land in my hand that's hold my stomach.
"Hello my name is Dr. Hill.
What is your name cutie?"
I look down shyly and mumble "Jo"
Brad stands next to me glaring at Dr. Hill and puts his arm around me.
What's his problem?
"Well Jo, what's wrong?"
Dr. Hill asks.
"She got hit with a ball in the stomach. It's bruising and it looks bad" Brad says before I can even say anything.
"Let me take a look and I can see what I can do."
