Dr. Bruce freaking Banner was my teacher. He was standing in front of me talking about animal kingdoms while I was on SHIELD's most wanted lists. They keep trying to tract me because of my powers. Well, that and the fact that I've been hacking into their system to see if they had anything about me. But that was untraceable.

Class went by excruciatingly slow for 50 minutes. After the bell rang I gathered my things and blended in with the crowd of students, pulling Gwen to my side as we headed to the other side of campus for gym class.

"What's wrong with you?" she looked at me. "You look sick. Is this Monday thing really getting to you?"

"It's not that," I glanced over my shoulder to see if anyone was near us. "Our new teacher is an Avenger."

Gwen's eyes widened, "Crap."

She knew how much SHIELD wanted me. But for what? I didn't know but I can't imagine anything good.

"Do you think he's here because of SHIELD?" she whispered, not wanting anyone to hear.

"I can't think of any other reason for him to be here."

"What are you going to do?"

"Act normal, I guess. That is until I can call Logan."

Logan Howlett, or Wolverine, was my adoptive father. He was currently teaching at a mutant institute ran by Charles Xavier. He was still in New York, the state, but another part while I lived in the city.

I use to live at the institute with him but things there didn't work for me. And when I say things, I mean some of the people there. Conflict wasn't something I started, but you can bet I'll finish it.

"Do you think he'll come to the city?" Gwen asked as we changed into our gym clothes.

"Maybe. If he thinks there's anything to worry about. I just don't want to go back there."

"I don't want you to leave either. You're almost done with school and your grades are better than ever." Gwen pointed out.

"Yes, but if he thinks there's a chance I'll be captured than he'll be here in a heart beat."

"That's true," she concluded as we walked out of the locker room and headed for the gymnasium. "Let's hope he sees both good and bad."

Our gym was huge since our school cared a lot about sports and used most of the funding towards keeping it up to date. One area was a room by itself for weight lifting. Another for volleyball and basketball. The room Gwen and I were heading for was used for gymnastics.

I've been in love with the equipment the school has since freshman year. It was the only sport I was good at since I had cat like reflexes, no pun intended.

"Kat, Gwen." A voice called and we turned to be greeted by our gym teacher Coach Sam Wilson.

"Hey, Coach." I smiled.

He was always trying me to get to join the gymnastics team but I always refused, claiming that I was too busy. Too busy fighting idiots that broke into banks and tried to steal things that didn't belong to them.

"Have you thought about my offer, Kat?" he asked, smiling hopefully.

He once again asked about the team but this time he offered to get me out of my math class, which I hated.

"Sorry, but the answer is the same. I'm-"

"Too busy," he finished for me. "I know. It was worth a shot."

With that he walked off, leaving us to wait in line for the bars. In fact I was so focused on the people ahead of me that I didn't see Dr. Banner walk into the gym, or the form of evil the stood behind me in line.
