Christmas - Part 2

Ian's POV

I drive down my street to my parents house. The house I grew up in. I look out the corner of my eye to see Nina looking out her window. "Everything okay?" I place my hand on hers. She turns and smiles. "Yes. Just looking at all the beautiful homes. It's so pretty here Ian." I smile at her. "Well here is where I grew up." I pull into the driveway and drive down it. "Ian no way?" She eyes the scenery. "It's lovely." She smiles.

"Nina! Hi my sweet girl!" My mom comes running out of the house. "Hi Edna!" Nina hugs my mom. "Ian hi son!" She throws her arms around me. "Hi mom. Missed you." I kiss her on the cheek. "Where is dad?" I look around when we walk inside. "He's out with your brother getting firewood for the fire place. But come in! Let's get you guys settled in. Nina what did the doctor say?" "She has the flu mom. But we got her medicine." "I'm already feeling fine. Maybe that was the end of it!" Nina says with a huge smile. "Ian take Nina on up to your room and settle in. Show her around. When dad and Rob get back we will open presents and then eat!"

I take Nina upstairs and down the hall to my room.

Nina's POV

I walk into Ian's room with him. "I expected you to have posters of half naked models on your walls." I wink at him. He laughs and smacks my butt. "No. Mom would kill me if I ever put such trash up on these walls." He puts are bags near the closet. I look around and notice a picture of us near his bed.

"Ian." I pick the picture up. "It's the first picture we ever took together. Look how young we look!" I rub my thumb across are faces. Ian takes it and looks at it. "You look 14." I smack him. "Thanks." I laugh.

"Ian?" Ian's sister Robyn walks in to his room. "Hey sis!" Ian pulls her in for a hug. "Hey Nina!" She runs over to me. "Hey Robyn! How have you been?" I sit back down. "I'm great! I've missed you guys. But Ian mom needs you in the kitchen for something about the pizza she's making." Ian shakes his head. "Pizza? On Christmas?" He walks out of his room.

I look at Robyn as she sits down next to me. "Mom said you had a pretty awful flight with being sick?" I nod. "Yeah it sucked." Should I tell her the truth? So she can help me plan the surprise? I think I'm going to.

"Robyn. If I ask you to help me with something, promise to keep it a secret until later tonight?" She looks at me. "Of course, yeah! What is it?" I grab my purse and pull out the baby pictures. "I'm pregnant Robyn." I hand her the pictures.

She stares at them for a minute before saying something. "YOU ARE. YOU MEAN THERES A BABY IN YOU?" I nod and smile at her. "NINA! Oh my god! Ian doesn't know?" I shake my head. "No I literally just found out at the doctor. I'm still trying to take it in myself. I'm happy though. I'm 10 weeks." She puts her hand on my stomach and rubs it around. "I'm going to be an aunt." She kisses my forehead. "How do you want to tell Ian?" She looks back down at the pictures. "I had my mom send me a picture of when I was born. I need one of Ian. And can we run to the store so I can get something else?" I grab my purse and stand up. "Of course. Let's find the picture first since Ian is busy. And then we'll leave." She hands me the pictures and I stick them back in my purse.

"Here's a new born picture of him." Robyn hands me the photo. "Aw. He was so cute even then." I smile at it. "I'll use this one. I'll print mine off at the store." Robyn puts the other pictures back up in the closet.

"Mom? Ian?" Robyn and I walk into the kitchen. "Hey, Nina and I have to run to the store real fast, need anything?" Robyn grabs her keys. "No. But why are you going to the store?" Edna looks at us. "I need to buy something I forgot to get earlier." Ian stares at me. "Okay, but be back soon!" He leans over the counter and kisses me on the lips. "I love you baby." He whispers before I pull back. "I love you too." I smile at him.
