Brently: because I was so fucking sure you loved me and then we broke up so how can I be sure and not be scared we're gonna break up

Brently: but like I'm still scared we're gonna break up and maybe I'm delusional but I haven't slept at all

Me: why didn't you say anything, we have been sleeping without the tv do you think that's it

Me: well when we talked earlier about Brently could you say that again
I put her on speaker
Mom: hon, I mean you know her she's just special, to me and all of us and I know to you I don't want you to let her go and regret it years from now cause hockey might be your thing and I know it's good and it's making you so much money and a very nice cushiony career but love isn't something to let go of one day you'll want a family and someone that cares about you not just hockey and in my heart I know she's the one for my little boy

Mom: she's really an amazing girl aiden and she treats you so well she cared about you truly and she made you do happy
Me: yea
Mom: that's all I'm saying done let something special slip away so many other guys out there would love to have someone that special and one day y'all will meet again and she'll be married and you'll really wish it was you
Me: well damn that's hurtful mom
Mom: I'm just sayin aiden you can really tell about a woman about how they treat your family you remember that Bianca girl Zach brought home and she barely acknowledged any of us
Me: yeah
Me: that's a terrible woman what you had with her was special
Me: yea
Mom: is that all you needed to talk about I have things to do in the morning
Me: yeah I won't keep you up but I wanna say one thing

Me: Caitlyn's wedding when I was in town for that I was the best man well one of them and whatever me and Brently are dating. Again

Me: so Jane is obsessed with me at this point

Aiden: okay now you need to sleep we need to worry about that

Aiden: no we're gonna sleep with the tv tonight

Me: but I don't understand because I can sleep in the dark if we're together like I'm not scared of the dark

He turned the lights out
And laid down
And I cuddled on his chest
