I walked quickly over to the car as I pulled open the door and sat Alexandre down in his car seat, pulling the seatbelt around his body.

"Are we going home now?" He questioned.

"Soon, I promise, we just have to go see Remy quickly. Ok?"

"Roman too?" He squirmed as he smiled largely.

I gave him a tight lipped smile and nodded before lightly shutting the door and hoping in the drivers seat, quickly turning on the engine before pulling out of the space and heading toward their penthouse.

***

The elevator dinged as Alexandre clung to my side, his arms wrapped tightly around my neck. I tapped his arm as we stepped into the penthouse, getting his attention.

"Why don't you go grab Roman, hmm?"

"Ok!" He beamed as I put him down, running off and up the stairs towards her room.

My spine straightened painfully as soon as he left, my feet quickly carrying me towards Remy's office.

I knocked on the wood quickly before I heard his voice to come in.

"Hey Augustus" he looked up as he sent a small smile although it disappeared quickly most likely from my worried eyes. I stood up quickly and walked around the desk, as I held out my hand, the wooden Trojan horse laying in my palm.

His brows furrowed as he stepped closer and wrapped his fingers around the toy, bringing it closer to him and twisting it around to fully look at it.

He looked up confused as to why I was worriedly handing him a toy.

"Amelio Pollos" I said as It looked like he straightened up a bit at the name.

"Ok...?" He led on.

"Alexandre said that some guy fitting his description came up to him in the park, saying he was Roman's friend and gave that to him."

"Fuck" he muttered.

He lifted his phone, typing something quickly and slipped it back into his pocket. The door opened behind us after a couple seconds, as Cyrille entered seemingly confused.

My mind swam with possibilities as their voices faded into the background. Why is he here in France? Is this a move on us from the Russians? Why did he say that he was Roman's friend?

A hand wrapped around my shoulder, tearing me from my thoughts as my eyes met Cyrilles.

"Ok so if this is really a message from the Russians, then why give it to Alexandre of all people, he's just a kid?" Cyrille questioned as he leant back against the wall looking at Remy.

"Are we sure it's from the Russians? Amelio has been doing a couple odd jobs recently outside of the Russian mafias orders" Remy said as he sat against his desk, crossing his arms.

"No that was a while ago, he's been marking all his jobs recently with the Russian emblem" Cyrille said.

"Ok but he said he was Roman's friend. Why give a kid from a different mafia then Roman's, a toy Trojan horse, why come all the way to France to do that?" I said trying to sort out my thoughts.

Cyrilles hand went to his hair deep in thought as Remy's leg bounced.

There was a small knock at the door as we turned our attention to it immediately. I walked over and opened the door as Alexandre smiled and strained his neck to look around the room past us.

His body slumped as a disappointed look set across his face.

"What's going on bud?" I tried to cover my worry as I bent down to his level in front of him.

"I thought Roman would be in here" he muttered as his eyes focused on the floor.

Worry spiked in my chest.

"She's not in her room?" I questioned as I felt Remy and Cy walk up behind me.

"No I looked everywhere, but I couldn't find her. I though she might be in here" he pouted as he looked up at me.

My breath hitched hearing that he couldn't find her anywhere.

I looked over my shoulder to find Remy and Cy looking at each other confusedly.

Standing up I turned to them as Alexandre stood by my side, pressing his small body against my side as he wrapping his arms around my leg as my arm dropped and my hand rested against the side of his hair, my thumb tracing back and forth comfortingly.

"She headed up to her room after her and the twins watched a movie together a couple of hours ago" Remy said and looked toward us with a panicked gaze.
