♥ Augustus ♥

"Alright, this is the buildings layout. There's a small room on the second floor that far from any entryways or exits, so she has to be there" Remy says as he lays out the blueprints to the church building as we all crouch behind empty shipping containers.

Everyone views the blueprints as a hand clasps around my shoulder.

"We'll find her yiós" papa says, clearly seeing how my body and hands shake.
(Son)

I nod to his words, still not feeling convinced.

Murmurs surround us as Remy and Cyrille continue talking to some others before everything quiets down.

"Alright, let's go" he nods as everyone slightly rises.

Remy and Cy's back turn to me as they turn toward the church, slightly crouching as they take small quiet steps on the dirt, coming out from behind the containers.

People follow behind them, others also coming in from different directions. The quietness is unnerving as my steps follow theirs, my finger aching as it rests above the trigger of my gun, the blunt end pushing into my shoulder.

Our backs hit the cold cobblestone of the side of the run down building, Remy's hand hovering over the large wooden entrance door. He looks toward us, slightly pausing before he pulls it open quickly, disappearing inside as we follow.

It's dark as we all enter, looking around curiously before everything breaks out. Yells immediately sound as gun shots go off from every direction as everyone ducks behind objects. The sounds blur together as ringing fills my ears, bullets flying past and casings falling against the concrete floor.

I look toward my side seeing Remy behind a pushed over wooden pew, peeking up and down as he empties his gun. He looks toward me.

"Go" he mouths over the yells and firings, pointing toward the stairs.

I tip my head past the pew I'm behind to where he's pointing, seeing a small staircase leading to the top floor.

I nod at him as he brings his hand up showing three fingers, lowering one and then another as he signals me to go. I crouch as I run, Remy rising from his position as he shoots from above me as I pass where he is.

My feet meet the metal stairs as I quickly run up them. Bodies lay around the top overpass as I swerve around them heading toward where Remy showed everyone earlier, praying Roman's there.

My heart pounds in my chest as I push my legs to go faster down the empty long hallways.

I turn a corner seeing bare walls before my eyes land on a single open door. I hear a voice say something from inside as I take quiet steps closer. I press my back against the wall right beside the open door and strain my ears.

I hear footsteps coming toward me as I quickly flip my gun around.

A man just leaves the threshold of the door, about to turn as I snap the blunt end of the gun against his temple hard hearing a thud as the gun meets his skin.

He immediately falls to the ground, his body falling limply as he settles on the concrete floor. I don't hesitate before flipping around my gun once again and aiming, before sending a bullet into the flesh of his temple, blood splattering on the floor and seeping around his skull.

I quickly turn the corner into the room, hopeful that Roman's here as my body comes to a quick stop, sharply inhaling at the sight.

There she is.

Her arms pulled apart as wires hold her up close to the ground, connecting to nearby pillars. Her body limply slumps as she's covered by only a bra and pants, water dripping from her hair and around her.
