chapter 22:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

After the man named Rob Lucci came in and asked Luffy if he was okay, he helped him to the couch. Luffy thanked him as he wiped away some of the tears from his puffy eyes.

The two men sat in the living room, and silence overpowered everything else in the area. Luffy couldn't help but start to tear up as he thought about how Law left. He had never seen him so angry at him.

But no matter how mad Law was at Luffy, Luffy didn't regret sleeping with Kaido. Every moment of pain he experienced during his time with Kaido was worth the sacrifice. As long as Law was alive and well, Luffy wouldn't think twice about himself.

Rob Lucci put his hand on Luffy's thigh and began caressing it in a comforting manner. His touch was gentle and comforting, and it made Luffy feel safe.

"Why are you so upset?" the man asked.

Luffy leaned on Rob Lucci's shoulder and sighed softly. "My boyfriend left," he said. His voice was barely a whisper, and his voice trembled.

Rob Lucci smiled and caressed Luffy's thigh soothingly. He looked at Luffy and asked, "Why?"

Luffy proceeded on to spill every little detail about what happened between both him and law. Rob Lucci listened to Luffy intently, processing every detail he was told. He had no expression on his face, but his eyes were filled with understanding and sympathy.

After Luffy finished explaining everything to Rob Lucci, the man pulled Luffy closer into his arms. Rob Lucci hugged Luffy tightly and whispered words of comfort and assurance into his ear.

Luffy felt a sense of relief wash over him as he finally allowed himself to relax in the embrace of an understanding stranger. For a moment, Luffy forgot about all his troubles and simply enjoyed the warmth of the hug.

Then the man said something that made the conversation turn in a different direction. "If I were your boyfriend, I would never treat you like that."

Luffy quickly withdrew himself away from the man. He knew that the man was just trying to be a gentleman, but he couldn't help but feel uncomfortable.

"Torao isn't a bad person..." Luffy said.

Rob Lucci held Luffy's hand as he argued, "Obviously he is." He continued, saying, "If he's treating you like that, he doesn't deserve you."

Luffy pulled his hand away from Rob Lucci's grip and retorted, "I need him; he's everything to me."

"Look, I can tell you have a lot to deal with because of him, but he's not worth it. You can find someone else who can be just as important to you. It's not worth it to stay in a situation like this." Rob Lucci claimed

Luffy looked down and stated, "Even if I did leave him, who would love someone like me?"

Rob Lucci placed his hand on Luffy's cheek and said, "I know we haven't known each other for long, but I love you." Rob Lucci then kissed Luffy, as if he were trying to express something he could not say with words. Luffy was taken aback by the suddenness of it, but he did not resist.

Luffy knew it was wrong since he was dating Law, but it felt so right in the heat of the moment. Luffy felt a tidal of emotions, but he knew it had to stop. He gently pushed Rob Lucci away and stepped back, looking away in embarrassment. He knew this was wrong, and he had to be loyal to Law, no matter what.

Rob Lucci looked at him with a smirk and asked, "What's wrong? Don't you want this?"

Luffy looked at Rob Lucci with surprise and said, "No, I have a boyfriend; I can't do this... Me and Law just got back together."
