(Start in Inkopolis Square. BRIDGETT and MONII are standing in front of a Splatfest kiosk that has suddenly popped up.)
Monii-Is this...a Splatfest kiosk?
Bridgett-What's this doing here?
(PEARL and MARINA walk up behind them.)
Marina-Oh, you finally noticed? I just thought I'd program it in as a way to entertain yourselves.
Bridgett-But aren't Splatfests usually a week later?
Pearl-Yeah. This is just here in case we aren't out of here a week later.
Monii-A week? I don't think I could handle another week in here.
Marina-We might have to. We're not making a lot of great progress. Nothing seems to be working. The problem lies in the fact that it's constantly scanning our brains, but when we turn off auto-scan, a whole different set of problems pops up.
Monii-So we're stuck.
Marina-For now, yes.
Bridgett-I guess all we can do is pick a side for Splatfest.
(She scans her wristband and presses the Marie button. The kiosk dumps out a green shirt.)
Monii-You're picking Marie? I thought for sure Callie was more your style.
Bridgett-I've never met Callie. She was in prison before I reached the surface.
Monii-I guess it would be awkward voting for the convicted felon.
(She scans her wristband and presses the Marie button as well. The kiosk dumps out another green shirt.)
Monii-Let's hope this Splatfest never happens, okay?
Bridgett-Okay.
(Opening theme. Cut to Scorch Gorge. CALLIE and MARIE are commentating.)
Callie-Today's Tower Control battles are going to be happening on Scorch Gorge.
Marie-Team colors are orange and teal.
(BRIDGETT and MONII are both teal. BRIDGETT has the Neo Sploosh-O-Matic.)
Callie-Hold on. Why do Bridgett and Monii both have Team Marie shirts?
Marie-They must just like me better.
Callie-Ready...
Callie/Marie-Go!
(The players launch onto the arena. BRIDGETT starts running to the left.)
Callie-The Neo Sploosh-O-Matic doesn't have anything that can really kill besides the main weapon. I mean, the Killer Wail can kind of kill.
Marie-I kind of like sets like this because it forces people to get good with the main weapon, and then you can use the other set, and you'll be even better.
(BRIDGETT makes it to the center. An orange kid with a Neo Sploosh-O-Matic sets off their Killer Wail.)
Bridgett-This is gonna get real scary.
(She backs away.)
Callie-Orange has the tower.
(BRIDGETT's special finishes charging.)
Bridgett-Get a load of THIS!
(She sets off her own Killer Wail and swims closer to home base. She peeks out when she sees no one on the tower.)
Bridgett-Oh. I killed somebody.
(She swims onto the tower.)
Marie-Now it's in teal's hands.
