Chapter 8

ZARYL'S POV

We arrived at Lolo's mansion fast. Leigh has already talked with the police and other authorities about the incident. Good thing that there's no witnesses when Aideen used her ability to defeat the enemies.

Unfortunately, Keidon and Artemis didn't find the woman. She left no trace, she must be so pro at hiding. Aideen was being taken care of by Eisha and Avianna. The power she released earlier consumed too much energy, and she almost fainted.

On the other hand, Hermes and his other friends elaborated about what happened. I couldn't help but be impressed by our little girl Hestia, she became confident with her power. She improved in a good way.

The enemy named Quen left some words that we couldn't figure out the meaning of.

"Sobra ang takot nila sa babaeng 'yon, Zaryl. How could we defeat this woman when we haven't learned how to control this damn new power we possess?" Leigh said while she was crossing her arms across her chest.

"That woman can't be Medusa. Eisha killed her and we were punished because of that." Dagdag ni Artemis.

"Could it be a resurrection?"

Natigilan kami lahat sa sinabi ni Hades.

"Do you think it was Melissa? Bumalik siya?" Tahimik na sabi ni Eisha. Umiling si Dionysus.

"Matangkad yung babae, ate. At ibang iba ang katawan niya kay Melissa." Sagot ni Dionysus.

"What's your plan, Zaryl?" Napatahimik ang lahat sa tanong ni Lolo Franz. Hindi naman namalayan na nakapasok na pala ito.

Lumingon ang lahat sa gawi ko, hinihintay ang magiging desisyon ko. I should analyze this problem carefully, I can't decide easily without knowing the possible outcome of it.

"Elias has been contacting me these days. We will fly to Greece tomorrow. We must discover our abilities within 2 days only, and after that, we come back here." I stated with a serious tone.

Tumango silang lahat. Nag aalinlangan pa si Eisha sa aking sinabi.

"Do you really think it is a good idea to leave this place with an unsolved case? What if they attack again? Paano kung bumalik ang babae 'yon at atakihin ang mga Selecters?" Tanong niya.

"Dear, you don't have to worry about them. I had companions from the government, this place will be in lockdown until you come back here. And besides, Hoplites will be on our side. Selecters will fight when they know it is needed to." Lolo Franz smiled at us.

Nagbuntong hininga si Artemis.

"I promise we will come back sooner, that woman must be found as soon as possible." Sabi ni Artemis.

After that short meeting, everyone decided to take a rest. Nagpahinga ang iba sa basement. Meanwhile, I couldn't rest with these things bothering my mind. Pumunta ako sa room ng mga Selecters para kumustahin si Hestia, and I saw her sitting on her bed with Leigh combing her hair.

"Ate Leigh, bakit hindi ako tinulungan ng mga Hoplites nung nasa kapahamakan ako kanina?"

Natigilan ako sa pinto dahil sa narinig. Maging si Leigh ay napahinto sa pagsuklay sa kanyang buhok. Nagbuntong hininga ito.

"Do you remember what Elias said about them?" Marahan na tanong ni Leigh sa bata. Tumango naman si Aideen.

"They trained to be unseen. When we are in danger, they will appear quickly." Ngusong saad ni Aideen.

"Exactly, let me ask you, little one. Were you in real danger earlier?" Ngumiti si Leigh. Kumunot ang noo ni Aideen sa narinig.

"Opo! Muntik na po ako maputulan ng ulo kanina e." Sabi nito kaya mahina natawa si Leigh. I couldn't help but chuckle too.
