589.Adoption

After coaxing Jeonsan to sleep when Jungkook noticed that it was already fast midnight but his wife was nowhere to be seen, he decided to look for her.

Slowly getting down from the bed, Jungkook started walking outside the room.

….

Outside his room.

"Mom, why aren't you sleeping?" Jungkook asked.

"I am here to talk about Simon's daughter." Mother Jeon said.

"You don't have to worry about her, I'll take care of it." Jungkook said.

Mother Jeon nodded her head and said, "I don't doubt your capabilities. I know that there is nothing that you can not solve but I still want to remind you that this time you have so many additional little lives in and around. I want you to be extra careful. And I want you to put an end to all of this. I want my family to live in peace."

Jungkook nodded his head and said, "I will."

"Jeonsan told me that Simon's daughter was asking Yuqi different kinds of questions. I think by now she knows what Yuqi's real identity is." Mother Jeon said.

Pausing for a while, she continued, "I don't care what others say but for me and your father, you have a son and a daughter. We love Yuqi as much as we love Jeonsan. There is no difference between them. I am sure that Simon's daughter will take advantage of the complicated relationship that we share with Yuqi and target her so I want you to be careful."

Jungkook nodded his head and said, "I understood mom."

"Also, your father and I will talk to Marco tomorrow. I want you and Lisa to adopt Yuqi and-"

Cutting mother Jeon off, Jungkook said, "Mom this-"

"Listen to me first." Mother Jeon said.

Pausing for a while, mother Jeon continued, "I wanted to talk to you and Lisa about this since a really long time but- anyway. I have already discussed this with your grandparents and your father."

"But mom this is not something that only we can decide. There are so many other people who will have to approve this. And father never wanted anyone to adopt Yuqi. And there is Siquan as well. No matter what, he is Yuqi's biological father and we will have to take his consent as well. Things are not that easy." Jungkook said.

"I have already thought about it. Yuqi is a child Jungkook, she needs someone whom she can rely on completely." Mother Jeon said.

Pausing for a while, she continued, "Jiyun told me what happened in the kindergarten a few days ago. The teacher asked everyone their parents name but Yuqi ended up saying a bunch of names. When the teacher told that a child can only have one mom and one dad, the poor little child could not say anything further. She just kept quiet. You see, I don't want that to happen again. Since Yuqi is more close to you and Lisa then adopting her is the best thing that you can do."

Jungkook sighed and said, "I don't have a problem adopting her mom. You know that even if I don't, she is still my daughter."

"Your father and I will talk to Marco tomorrow. Leave this matter to us and focus on dealing with Simon's daughter." Mother Jeon said before walking towards her room.

After mother Jeon left, Jungkook took a deep breath and started walking towards Jeonsan and Yuqi's room.

Outside Jeonsan and Yuqi's room.

When Jungkook arrived outside Jeonsan and Yuqi's room, he saw Lisa standing on the door.

Hugging her from behind, Jungkook asked, "What are you doing here?"

"Yuqi had a bad dream so she woke up. I had to coax her to sleep again." Lisa said.

"Zixin is okay?" Jungkook asked.

Lisa nodded her head and said, "Yes, he is alright."

"What happened Lisa?" Jungkook asked.

Turning around, Lisa buried her face on his chest and said. "I am scared."

"What are you scared about? It's going to be alright okay? Don't worry." Jungkook said.

Clutching his t-shirt, Lisa said, "Earlier it was just you and me Jungkook but this time we have Yuqi and Jeonsan too. What if she tries to harm them? She tried to poison Seojun even when all of us were present and-"

"Don't worry, we will track her down soon." Jungkook said.

"And the way she was looking at you. Why do I feel like she is going to take you away from me?" Lisa said.

Jungkook chuckled and said, "What? Take me away from you? What are you talking about? I would rather die than leave you Lisa."

Hitting him on his chest, Lisa said, "Stop talking nonsense."

"Stop overthinking okay? Nothing is going to happen. And aren't you crying way too much these days? What is wrong with you my cry baby?" Jungkook said.

"Mistakes can happen Jungkook and I am just scared." Lisa said.

Kissing her forehead, Jungkook said, "Don't worry, I'll take care of everything."

Pausing for a while, Jungkook said, "Mom wants us to adopt Yuqi."

"But-"

"She said she will talk to father about it tomorrow." Jungkook said.

"Actually even I wanted to adopt her since a really long time but since Hyunjin and Yeji wanted to adopt them and father did not allow them to do so, I decided not to voice it out." Lisa said.

"Let's see what father has to say tomorrow." Jungkook said.

"Okay." Lisa said.

"Lisa, let's not send the kids to kindergarten for a few days." Jungkook said.

Lisa nodded her head and said, "I'll do as you say."

Kim Mansion.

Next day, as planned mother Jeon along with father Jeon arrived at the Kim mansion along with the kids.

"What happened Meili? What did you want to talk about?" Father Kim asked.

"I think we should wait for everyone to arrive." Mother Jeon said.

Father Kim nodded his head and said, "Okay, I have asked Hyunjin to come back early today."

Just then Yeji came out of the kitchen with some snacks and tea.

"Where is Hyunjin, Yeji?" Father Kim asked.

Pouring tea for everyone, Yeji said, "He is on the way father."

After sometime, Jungkook, Lisa, Jin, Jimin, Rosé, Jisoo and Sehun arrived at the mansion followed by Hyunjin and Felix.
