Epilogue

We're having a conversation in her apartment, I'm sitting in front of her with the temptation of telling her what my plans are. "You sure about this, Caly?" Calantha asked after I told her what my plans were for the wedding. Of course, she's not happy about it.

Alam ko naman na kahit kapatid niya ako she's not a ride-or-die type of person, neither am I. If she done something stupid I'm not gonna cover her up.

"Yes, so sure. Wala na akong naiisip na iba pang paraan, Cala" sabi ko habang pinipigilan ang sarili na manatili sa tono ko dahil sa gusto kong sabihin sa kanya. I'm so eager for this.

Obviously, kaya ko sinasabi sa kanya 'to dahil una kapatid ko siya, and she's the smartest one at pangalawa, I need her help in this. As long as ayoko siyang idamay, hindi ko rin naman kaya gawin ito nang mag-isa lang ako. 

"Okay, but we better be careful. Marami sila, dalawa lang tayo. Mahirap pag nahuli nila tayo" she said with her eyes telling me she really wants to help me but I can sense fear in her tone. She's gripping her phone as her life depends on it. 

She's my sister, I know her too much. She doesn't even have to tell me she's scared to do one thing, I can feel it. It's like we're two people in one body when we think. But I am bold when it comes to this situation. I don't think about how would anyone feel, all I care about is my own satisfaction.

"I know that." I rest my palm on her hand sitting on the table still holding her phone really tight. 

Consider this as our mission Cala, isang kalaban pero maraming madadamay. Maaring matalo tayo pagkatapos ng laban, pero dapat may mauna. I want to witness them grieve for that person. Mas masisiyahan ako pag nakita ko silang nagluluksa.

My facial muscles are so tensed about the thought of this plan. I'm gonna stop the wedding that I've been dreaming of for years. It's hurting me when he says he doesn't even love not even for once. I know that I'm just too desperate to be with the man of my dreams.

"When are we doing this?" she asked. Her tone changed she was in her game mode. I'm gonna be loving this.

Makalipas ang ilang oras, naghihintay nalang kami sa kotse na makapasok sa restaurant ang mga Fajardo bago kami lumabas. Pero parang wala pa sila, kinuha ko ang sigiralyo sa cupholder at ibinaba ko ang bintana bago sindihan ito.

"Don't smoke" tahimik na sabi ni Calantha ngunit sa ibang direksyon siya nakatingin. I don't have to ask why bago niya sabihin ang dahilan. "Maamoy ka ni Marlon, he hates the smell of cigarette especially sa babae, lalo na sa'yo. He's expecting too much from you, Caly."
