I wear many hats
So many
That at times
I forget what I truly look like
I wear suits
For meetings
And dresses for girls' night
Costumes for parties
And makeup almost daily

I wear heels at least weekly
And boots almost daily

I dawn business casual often
Seemingly
More often than not

I look put together
So often
So adorned by many hats
That at times
I forget what
I actually look like

But tonight
I caught a glimpse
Of myself in the mirror

No makeup
No hair brushed
Just a large shirt and spanx
And for a moment
Just a moment
I looked like myself

No presentation
No shoes
No fancy no fluff
Just little old me
Casual and by myself

I display so often
That I forget who I am
What I look like
What I love
And what the mirror tells me

I'm grateful for these moments
And for that mirror
As fleeting as they are 
Because at times
It's nice to remember
I'm more a person
Than a professional
And I still look like me
Underneath the garbs
