Chapter 102 - 5.3 First Violet Star - I Want To Become A Protector

"If he is really A'Xia then he would never force me if I am really unwilling." replied Xuebao.

After half an hour the protagonist Shou called Tuzi returned and brought a pile of clothes and spare shoes with him. He is running towards the river where he left Xuebao. There's a clear excitement within those pinkish irises.

"Xuebao~ I prepared your change of clothes! I've included towels as well." said Tuzi as he kneeled by the riverside where Xuebao stays.

"Thank you. Please turn around." said Xuebao. Tuzi, who immediately understood what he wanted, passed the things on his hands and turned about face. Then Show his back at Xuebao.

Once Tuzi turned around Xuebao stood up without the embarrassment of revealing his naked body to the air. He took the clean towel as he left the river and wiped all the water on his skin before wearing the clothes Tuzi prepared for him. The clothes were made simply. A normal long sleeve that is a bit larger on him as Tuzi had a slightly larger physique than our Xuebao. Only the tips of his fingers are exposed from the opening of the sleeves. The pants were the same, it's length is a bit longer and Xuebao needs to fold the end of the pants for his feet to be seen. The shoes are a bit bigger on his feet as well. His all over attire made it look like that Xuebao is wearing oversized fur pajamas made of animal hide.

"Let's go. You can either sleepover in my place or I stay in yours?" said Xuebao.

Tuzi replied, "Stay in mine. You live with the Tribe leader so it is a bit hard to have loud conversations. So..."

"Fine. I will stay in your place only tonight." said Xuebao.

Tuzi showed a huge grin when he heard Xuebao's answer and happily clinging to his sleeves even though he is taller than the latter by half a head. These two return to the tribe leaving the river. Only the hidden shadow within the tree left as well after they returned to the tribe's camp. Only few traces of blood were left on where the man had stayed.

Tribe Leader's Cave

The Tribe Leader is Xuebao's father. He is also a leopard beastman but unlike his female son he is not a snow leopard, but cobweb furred pattern. His fur is black with hints of silver. His deceased wife is a snow leopard like his female son. This man is called Zhubao.

In order to keep his female son safe even after his death he planned to have him get married with the strongest male in their tribe. But Meizhou declined and had no choice but to choose Laohu as his female son's arranged marriage partner. In exchange for this marriage Laohu will be able to become the next Tribe Leader after he retires. That was the original plan.

Until he heard the event that took place this morning. It was a situation that involved his female son, his arranged marriage partner: Laohu and his son's unrequited crush: Meizhou. This all happens because he told his son is getting married to Laohu. He knew that his son liked Meizhou but he couldn't really force Meizhou to marry his son. When his son ran off to chase after Meizhou, he knew things wouldn't end nice. But he and the tribe elders were gathering for a meeting and he wasn't able to stop his son's foolishness. He expected a result of Xuebao being prostrated by Meizhou but he would never have thought that he would have beaten Laohu half dead because he wouldn't agree to dismiss him or end their engagement. He even heard that his son tried to kill Laohu when he refused to admit defeat. He thanked Meizhou for stopping his son's rashness.

As for the fact that his son could fight, Zhubao wasn't really surprised. As he knew that his wife before he died used to train their son daily. His former wife is the strongest female in their tribe. His strength is not that weaker against those warriors. He is an amazing female in his heart. He died during the last battle they had with the enemy tribe. He had even seen his son secretly training in their cave's training ground alone and only he knew that his son could fight. Though not at the level he treated Laohu, the second strongest warrior in their tribe, as a live sandbag.

Zhubao grumbles, "Sigh~ now there is no problem with my son's marriage. The problem now is whether there will be someone stronger than him that he is willing to marry. Once he dies of old age Meizhou would be able to protect his son even when his gone. Sadly, before he could ask of him of this favor, Meizhou showed an obvious rejection towards his son. He decided to forget about him and choose a different option which in the end is no better than the former. He also knew that the rumors about Xuebao stalking him before is true but about the fact that Xuebao could fight or that his personality is originally fierce is something he never expected. But what he did now, watching him play around and treating his friend Laohu as a live sandbag made him want to see more of him. In that moment, Xuebao was extremely enchanting, not of his exquisite features or his fighting ability but instead the presence of his soul. Mischievous, cruel and merciless. That's how he could perceive Xuebao of that time.
