Meanwhile.....

Team B had made it towards the first of several levels. Each filed out individually, letting the doors shut close to them. Jamil and Felicity trailed almost close to the edge, peering down into the dark abyss.

Felicity let out a low whistle. "Hot damn....you can't make out the bottom!"

"It's called Tartaros for a reason...but how many floors does it possess?" Jamil scratched his chin in thought.

"From the map, the bottom floor is the 12th layer, but it doesn't say exactly how many floors each layer obtains." Odette looked over the digital map with quick eyes. Leona had just looked at the pit before walking up to Jamil.

"Gimme one of those hairpins." He wasn't asking. Jamil gave him a weird look, but obliged.

"Alright." He reached up to his hairline where one of his accent braids was a plucked the first one he touched. But as soon as Leona grasped it, he chucked it over the edge without batting an eye; it was going, going and.....gone. He waited to hear a clink or something but shrugged just after ten seconds of silence. "Well that answers that....it has to have between 30-50 floors."

"Was it really necessary to use one of my hairpins for that?" Jamil gave him an unimpressed look, while Felicity snickered quietly in the background.

"Hey, you had your chance to not give it to me when I said so. Don't get your dick in a twist over the smallest of things." Leona clicks his tongue, but his retort only made Felicity fall to the floor breathless from laughing.

Instead, Jamil gave a smile. "Hey, no sweat. Glad to at least be of help."

"Your smell of irritation says otherwise." Leona scoffed in turn.

"Enough on the pettiness, you two." Odette snaps. "We need to get the Thunderstorm Spear in order to move on.

"It's likely to be on the sixth level..." Leona theorized.

"Then we'll need to get an elevator to that level." Jamil was walking ahead of the group until the set of doors opened before them, darkness surrounding inside.

"We need to be careful. Who knows what these brothers have in store for us." Leona warned.

"And with the entire Facility under Ortho's control, anything unpredictable can occur." Felicity nods. "Eh, not that far from the softball games I've encountered...."

"Girls, stay behind me." Jamil said, only for the blonde to scoff at his action.

"Yeah, no thanks: we don't need the MEN like you to protect us." she threw up the middle finger as she ran inside, Odette following not too far behind.

"Wait up ladies, I want in on the action too." Leona sauntered after nonchalantly.

"H-Hey! Don't just run headfirst into danger!" Jamil couldn't believe they just did what he thought he saw as he ran after, only for the door to sea shut behind him.

"Hello, Team B! Nice to see all of you!" Ortho greets.

"Well, look who showed up..." Jamil rolled his eyes as the other three just looked up at his hologram unimpressed.

"Oh...I-I thought you'd be more excited to see me..." Ortho sighed sadly, but it wasn't fooling anyone in the room.

"Any human can read what cyborgs like you are thinking." Leona snarks back. "So you're no joker, or maybe you and your brother are."

" 'Cyborg'? Well, you're not wrong~!" Ortho smirks. "Then I'll have to step up the ante next time! That is....IF there's a next time~."

"What are you talking about?" Odette demands.
