Conflicting Hearts

Chapter 10

William's POV
These last few days have been crazy and I wish I could say some good things have happened. My parents also saw the poster but they didn't flip out rather they asked me what was going on?

I didn't lie,well I told them to give me time and they obliged. While Laila was narrating her ordeal to our friends,I could see her reliving those moments and I wished she wouldn't hurt over him. She hasn't spoken to her mom since they argued and I know because Lianna told me and Landon called asking me to take care of her.

She even set out to cause trouble and I wonder what she did but that is by the way. It's currently lunchtime and we are all in the cafeteria but Laila has traded seats with Alyssa to sit with some guy named David and Tatiana.

"You're glaring"Alyssa whispers into my ear
"Whose the guy?" I ask
"His name is David"
"Why is he here sitting at our table?"
"Because Laila asked him to"
"And why would she do that?"
"Because she wants to,Will. Please shut it now,I beg you"

Laila continues to talk to him and the guy just replies her with confidence and he even makes her laugh alot or maybe a little too much. With a smile she faces the table again
"Guys this is David, mine and Alyssa's friend" she announces
"Hi guys" David says and waves a bit
"David,this is Angel , Kayla, Tyler, Marilyn, Dennis and lastly William"
"It's nice to meet you all" David speaks
Everyone starts exchanging pleasantries with him and shaking hands until it gets to my turn.

I shake his hand in a firm grip.
"I don't appreciate you hitting on my girlfriend man" I snap at him
"I don't appreciate you whispering in my girlfriends ears" he says to me with a sinister smile

"It's not even official yet" Laila and Alyssa yell at the same time
"Besides he isn't hitting on me, he's just funny" Laila retorts frowning

"You're dating someone, Alyssa?" Mari asks
"I thought you heard me say it isn't official just now" Alyssa says to Marilyn.
Marilyn just scoffs in disbelief at her and looks the other way.

"Okay guys break it up" Angel says and pushes us back into our seats therefore disconnecting our hands.
"Let's try this again" I say to David
"I'm David,nice to meet you"
"William,it's nice to meet you too"
Laila holds my hand in hers and mouths a "thank you".

"As much as I would have loved to watch a good brawl, Laila and Alyssa would have my head for it" Angel comments
"Agreed" I mutter
"Alyssa would kill me" David murmurs under his breath
"It's nice to see that we all have a common understanding of things" Laila says with a somewhat evil smile

"Mr Handsome, so Saturday at noon?" Laila asks David
"Yeahhh, Saturday is fine" he answers
"Cool, I'd text you the address only if you gave me your number" she says smoothly
Even I had to admire how smooth she was with her moves. He takes the phone in her hand and puts his number in

Everyone at the table is just staring at her.
She finishes typing on her phone and looks up to see all eyes on her. Tatiana breaks the silence with her laugh and then Alyssa joins and soon we're all laughing.
"Girl,that was too smooth" Tati says shaking her head
"You are wooing my boyfriend. He's looking at you in awe" Alyssa says and bursts into laughter,we all see the look on David's face and start laughing all over again then he snaps out of it.

"I'm a guy and I'm not that smooth cariná" Angel says to Laila with a chuckle,she just giggles in response.
"You should take notes" Laila responds with a smile. Her smile melts away any previous ill feelings I had, whether towards David or towards Angel who is using a term of endearment on my girlfriend.

"Do you guys remember when Angel and Laila would do everything together?" I ask
"Yeah I do, the whole school thought they were dating. They went to each other's houses all the time, went to church together, they were always talking and flirting" Tyler says chuckling
