It took me a little over three years to grow my hair out to a healthy state and now that I am back in the limelight, I am starting to notice some damage. My two years away from the spotlight were spent leading a low maintenance  lifestyle which saw me using products in my hair only when I needed it and little to no heat. 

Unfortunately that's unattainable in this life since I do photoshoots, red carpet events, interviews all in a day which means that my hair is constantly being switched up. In effort to make it look somewhat nice, I decided to do something bold and I went blonde- again.

"Kimora."

"You look sexy." I laugh at the remark while slipping my hand into David's who has adjusted pretty well to my life. David is well known in his own right but there is a difference in how we are perceived.

There are days when he can get around without worrying about the paparazzi while I have to take a guard with me and sneak in through the back so I won't get spotted.

"Do I have to be jealous?" David asks as he opens the door to the art gallery for me and I look at him in confusion. "Of a Mr Otis Redding now that you are going by Kim Redding."

I laugh loudly at his words.

"Whenever you hear Otis Redding playing in the house, forget all about your Kimora because Kim is dancing with her man." I say with a giggle and David kisses the top of my head. "The whole Kim Redding brings me back to the simpler life and sometimes it's nice to have that escape."
