Chapter 19

At the hospital

Ali entered Alekh's room with a coffee in his hand. He tried to convince Samaira to go home and rest but she refused to leave Alekh's side.

He was shocked to see Alekh awake, gently caressing Ria hair while she was deep slumber.

"Alekh Bhai aap uth gaye?" Ali almost screamed.

"Shhhh... aaram se Ali... warna ye pagal uth jayegi." 

Ali was at awe to see this side Alekh. He moved towards Alekh.

"Aap thik to hai? Apne to hum sab ki jaan hi nikal di thi."

"Are relax kar. Thik hu main. Chal fatafat academy chalte hein." Alekh said, while getting up.

"Are are Alekh bhai... ye kya kar rahe hein aap? Apko aaram ki zarurat hai."

"Are bahut aaram ho gaya. Naina... Naina to thik hai na...?" He asked, immediately remembering the accident.

"Aap chinta mat kijiye. Naina ko thodi chot lagi thi. Par ab wo thik hain. Par hua kya tha?"

"Ye main academy mein bataunga." Saying this, Alekh gestured towards Ria.

Ali immediately understood that Alekh didn't want to worry her.

Meanwhile, Ria stirred in her sleep. As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Alekh sitting and talking to Ali. She immediately got up and hugged him tight. And Ali, being Ali, was so embarrassed that he placed the coffee cup on the table and rushed outside to call the others.

"Aap aisa kaise kar sakte hein humare sath? Bilkul chinta nahi hai kya? Mante hein ki jin halato mein hum mile, apki personal life mein hum uninvited aaye hein aur aap shayad is rishte ke liye prepared nahi the par iska matlab ye to nahi ki....."

"Ae yedi... kya khali-peeli dimag chala reli hai? Apun ko kuchh bolne degi ya aise hi hawda mail ki tarah daudti jayegi?" Alekh asked, while smirking at her.

Ria stopped abruptly and then started laughing. Alekh too, chuckled with her and hugged her afterwards.

"Relax, thik hu main. Itna daro mat." That's when he realized, Ria was actually crying, clutching his shirt.

"Ohhooo.... idhar dekho. Kuchh nahi hua hai mujhe. Relax."

Ria just nodded her head with tearful eyes.

Ali shyly just knocked at the door.

"Alekh Bhai, doctor ne bola hai ki aap academy chal sakte hein. Par abhi kuchh time tak koi physical activity nahi. Yudi bhai bas aate hi honge."

"Chalo achha hai. Pata nahi kuchh logo ko hospital achha kaise lagta hai." Alekh teased Ria.

Ria just hit his arm and said, "Zyada pareshan mat karo warna bhulo mat hum doctor hein yaha. Abhi discharge cancel karwa denge."

"Hawww... tum mujhe yaha hospital mein rakh kar kya karna chah rahi ho?"

"Alekhhhhhhhh....." Ria screamed while blushing.

Ali laughed and decided to intervene.
"Kya Alekh Bhai... jab se uthe hein, pareshan kar rahe hein unhe. Apko pata hai itne dino tak ek minute ke liye bhi uth kar apse door nahi gayi. Aisa koi karta hai kya?"

While Ria stuck her tongue out, childishly, at Alekh. Alekh chuckled but immediately acted shocked.

"Dhokha??? Tune party badal li? Ye kya Ria, pehle mujhse meri behen chheen li aur ab mera dost bhi... hey bhagwan... main bechara akela...."

Ali stood shocked seeing Alekh's melodrama while Ria shook her head laughing.

"Itni movies nahi dikhati chahiye thi inhe. Kuchh zyada hi filmy drama aane laga hai. Chalo utho, shoo... jao yaha se... kaam karne do hume...." Ria pushed Alekh towards the washroom so that he could change.
