Chapter 13

"Naina, tu thik hai?" Pooja asked getting concerned.

Naina just nodded her head in yes, but she kept staring outside the window. Pooja sat next to her and held her hands.

"Naina, meri taraf dekh. Kya hua hai bata?"

Naina just kept staring at her, contemplating whether she should speak her heart or not. But she decided to share her turmoil. Because as Shalini said, you need to let people in, Naina. You need to share your feelings, whether it's pain, happiness, anger or anything else. Agar aise hi apne emotions ko chhupane ki adat daal li to you'll become emotionless one day. Aur fir chah kar bhi, you won't be able to feel anything. After all, feelings make us human. Be yourself with the people who love you. The ones who cherish.

"Kya hua? Kahan kho gayi? Bol na. I won't tell anyone."
"Pooja, it feels weird."

Pooja just looked at Naina in confusion.

A/N : The italic bold conversation is taking place in Naveen's Base (Raj talking to Naveen, whereas Gunny on the screen to make sure Naina is alright). Whereas the normal font is conversation of Naina and Pooja. Both the conversations are taking place in the same time, so read it in the same order.

"I need to talk to Naina, Naveen. You don't understand. She needs me right now."
"Calm down Raj. Har baar tu hi kehta hai ki Naina is strong, wo sambhal legi sab. Then what's wrong with you now?"
"She needs someone to guide her Naveen. The rest of the Captains are with her, no doubt. Par is waqt use dosto ka sath nahi... koi guide karne wala chahiye. She needs her mentor now."

"I am missing Rajveer Sir the most right now. I mean, there are a lot of things happening. I just wish ki wo yaha hote mujhe guide karne ke liye."

"I agree ki Naina strong hai, but I bet she's scared right now. Are aise koi batata hai kya? She'll be in more pressure now. God, she must be so scared ki wo kya kare aur kya nahi."

"I always wanted to know ki jo bhi information mujhe milti jaa rahi hai... is it true or just some coincidences... but now when the truth is out, I don't know what to do. I am scared right now to be honest. Not for my life. But since, mere sath aur bhi officers in sab fase hein, I am really scared to do something recklessly. "Shut up Naina. Hum sab yaha par kyun hain? Itna tension mat le. Aaj tak ek team, ek family ki tarah hein hum. Aur aage bhi, aise hi problem ko face karenge. You got that? So stop saying, main aisa main waisa. Yahan 'main' nahi, 'hum' hain. We are in this together Naina. We'll find a solution. But, you need to relax. Aur han, khabardar agar bistar se uthi to, call me if you need anything."

Pooja got up to leave. But before leaving she turned around and said,

"Remember Naina, tera connection na, ab permanently humse jud gaya hai. Aur agar kabhi connection cut bhi ho gaya na, to chudail ban ke mil kar us Nair aur Bhargav ko darayenge."

Naina just chuckled hearing Pooja's plans of afterlife.

After Pooja left, Naina pulled out Raj's picture and stared at it.

"Okay, I am okay. Take a deep breath Naveen. Calm down. Teri gudiya badi ho gayi hai. It's okay yar, bachchi nahi hai wo. It's okay. Rajjjjjjjjjjjjj!!!!!!!"

"What happened??? Kya hua Naina ko?"

"Teri photo Naina ke paas kaise hai?"

"Meri photo? Oh God... Naina ro kyun rahi hai? Naina.... Naina... look here... are main yahi hoon na. Tum ro kyun rahi ho? How can Pooja leave her alone like that?"

"Rajveer Sir, where are you? I am scared."

"God Naina, I am right here. Shhh.... daro mat. You are not alone. Main hu na tumhare sath."

"What if I make a mistake, Sir?" Then suddenly Naina started shaking her head as if she made a mistake.
"Rajveer Sir, I am not scared to die. I don't care if I die. It'll be an honor to die for the country."

"Shut up. Just shut up Naina. How can you say these things? Kuchh nahi hoga tumhe. Aisi baatein karna band karo."

"Aap aur Naveen Bhaiya, you both were so brave. But am I brave like you both?"

"You are Naina. You are." Both Raj and Naveen said.

"I miss you so much Rajveer Sir."

(Naveen and Gunny left, as not to intrude the both. More like Gunny dragged Naveen out.)

"I miss you too Naina."

"I never got a chance to say anything to you. Maybe, I should have hugged you a little longer."

"I too, should have done the same. That's one thing, I regret the most."

"I miss seeing your smile."

"I miss yours, too."

"You know, today Abhimanyu Sir told me the truth. He is part of intelligence now. He said that I am one of the targeted officers. I don't know if I should trust him or not. He lied in the court room. But, he seems genuinely guilty for what he did. I am so confused right now. I need you so much."

Raj was shocked after hearing about Abhimanyu. But now, he was understanding Naina's turmoil.

"I promise you one thing Rajveer Sir, main in logo ko plans ko successful nahi hone dungi. I will not let them hurt our country. Chahe uski mujhe koi bhi keemat kyun na chukani pade. And even if I die, then I'll meet you and Naveen Bhaiya. I am not scared anymore."

"And I promise you cadet Naina Ah Singh, I will not let you get hurt. Jab tumhara Rajveer zinda hai, to apne zinda rehte wo tumhe kaise kuchh hone dega. They have made a grave mistake. As long as I was the target, it was okay. But dare say, agar kisi ne tumhari taraf dekhne ki bhi koshish ki to all hell will break loose.
