Cancer he had cancer and he hid it from me til it was too late Stage 4 lung cancer
I sat down next to Alex in tears replaying the events he collapsed in rehearsal for battle of the bands when it happened he began coughing up blood the rest is a painful blur .
I looked down at him lovingly praying for my sweet Alex to be okay but I knew it wasn't going to help stage 4 is most aggressive form of cancer as I looked back down in tears Alex gripped my hand and I could tell he wasn't going to make it I could see the anxiety in his eyes I knew what clam him and I both down .

The song his mother would to him when he sick or injured
something about that damn song always made him feel at ease even after he kicked out of his home that song was the only thing that would clam him down
I wiped away my tears as
Alex looked me somberly I gave him a bitter yet loving smile
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine , You make me happy when skies are gray You'll never know, dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away" I sang as Alex smiled listening to my voice
I couldn't help the tears that streamed down my face looking at him and seeing him in pain
"The other night, dear, as I laid sleepingI dreamed I held you in my arms When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken so I hung my head and cried" I sang noticing Alex's ever growing smile making me smile back at him .
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine You make me happy when skies are gray" I sang as Alex began to sing along his voice quiet but still beautiful "
"You'll never know, dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away" he sang out the last bit of song before looking at me lovingly one last time
" I love you sunshine " he said softly as his eyes closed and i felt his breathing stop that's when
i felt my whole world came crashing down all at once
I knew this was it my Alex , my love , my sunshine was dead
My sunshine was taken away from me and the worse part was that was the first time he said he loved me and he never got to hear me say it back .
" I love you too alex " I sobbed holding him

Yes it's short
but I think it's okay I know some people like long one shots and some like short one shots I think this was simple and to the point and I really enjoyed writing it
