It's a few months later. Maddison is 8 months pregnant. She has been out on calls all morning however they have all been women in labour. Gabby and Maddison haven't had anything to eat all day. It's now 2 pm, they have just walked inside after their 5th call of the day.
"We saved you lunch" Cruz added
"Savour" Maddison said as she lifted the plate out
"Ambulance 61, Woman in distress, 78th west street" The intercom echoed
"No" Maddison muttered as she put the plate back and ran out
They arrived a short time later, they walked inside
"Hello?" Gabby yelled
"CFD!" Maddison yelled
"I'm here! It's my mom!" A little boy yelled
They ran into the kitchen to see the mom sat on a seat at the table, she was sweating and panting
"I'm only 7 months! The baby can't come!" The lady yelled
"Okay Miss I need you to take a deep breath for me. Can you tell me your name?" Maddison said
"Maura" Maura said as she held her stomach
"Great, I'm Maddison and this is Gabby. We're going to take great care of you" Maddison said as she checked Maura over
"What is this? Like the 6th one today?" Gabby muttered as she took Maura's sats
"Okay Maura we're going to get you onto the stretcher and get you down to med as soon as we can" Maddison said
"She's preeclamptic" Maddison muttered to Gabby
"What's wrong with my baby?!" Maura asked
"Absolutely nothing, they're just dying to meet their mom" Maddison smiled as they got Maura onto the stretcher
Gabby took Maura out, Maddison went to step outside when she heard a gush, it was her waters
"Crap, not right now" Maddison said
"Luca!" Gabby yelled
"Coming!" Maddison said
They loaded Maura into the back of the ambo, Gabby started to drive off. Maddison got in the back with Maura
"Do you know what your having?" Maddison asked
"My husband wanted us to keep it a secret!" Maura panted
"That's a bit like my husband" Maddison smiled
"You seem to...young to have a husband!" Maura panted
"I get that a lot, I'm 26" Maddison laughed
""We're here!" Gabby yelled as she opened the doors
"They're going to take great care of you Maura" Maddison smiled as they handed her over to the doctors
"I might need you to call Taylor" Maddison said
"What?? Why?" Gabby asked
"I'm having a baby" Maddison said as she gestured at her wet trousers...
