Maddison is pacing up and down the bathroom in Walmart. She hasn't had her period for weeks and thinks she might be pregnant. It's Johns baby and Maddison doesn't want it
"Please be negative!" Maddison says as she looks at the text face down
The 3 minuets are up and Maddison takes a deep breath and flips the test. It's positive and tears start to form in Maddison's eyes. She throws the test in the trash and heads home. She tries to sneak in without waking John but he is waiting for her
"Where were you?" John asks firmly
"I needed to go to Walmart, you needed toothpaste" Maddison says as she shows him the bags
"That's alright then" John says as Maddison walks by refusing to make eye contact
John heads up to bed when Madison's phone starts to buzz
"Hey bro!" Maddison says as she answers
"Hey! What happened to your face?" Luca asks
"Oh a bad call that's all" Maddison says smiling
"I thought paramedics couldn't get hurt?" Luca asks
"Perks of the job I guess? How's LA? Are you living the celebrity life?" Maddison asks
"Very funny, the unit I'm working for is the best! I couldn't asks for a better team!" Luca adds
"That's great!" Maddison says smiling
They talk for an hour more until Maddison heads to bed. She wakes up to see John waiting for her
"Test now!" John shouts as he throws a pregnancy test at her
Maddison doesn't know what she's going to do. She heads into the bathroom and digs an old one out of the trash
"Its negative" Maddison says shaking
"Again!" John shouts as he throws Maddison onto the floor
"I'm sorry" Maddison says terrified
"Shut up! You can never do anything right!" John shouts as he starts to kick her abdomen
*Madison's POV*
As soon as his boot hit my stomach. I knew my child or our child had no life left. I felt him or her cry out for help. The pain was unbearable this time and I actually let out a scream. He grabbed my neck and told me to be quiet or else he would kill me. He told me to wait in my room. I noticed I was late for shift but I couldn't move. I grabbed my phone and called 911 as I had finally had enough.
*At the Firehouse*
"Squad 3, Ambulance 61, Domestic Abuse, Orchard Park" The intercom echoes throughout the firehouse
"That's Maddison's house?" Taylor adds as they run out
When they arrive on scene Taylor runs up to see Maddison lying on the floor with blood dripping down her legs
"Come here! I've got you now" Taylor says as he rushes over to her
"The baby." Maddison says before going unconscious
