'Oh my god am I really doing this?' I asked, looking at Luke who was sitting in front of me.

He laughed and nodded, taking my hand and pulling me closer to him.

'There's all these little kids around us who can do it so you can too. Besides, we're going together and you know I'm not going to let anything happen to you'

I sighed and nodded, allowing Luke to help me sit down in the water of the waterslide and pushing us forward.

'Just enjoy it' Luke said, right when I was about to ask him how deep the water is at the end.

I took a hold of Luke's arm that was securely placed around my waist as we went down the slide.

I had to admit it was fun, but it was not something I saw myself doing 20 times a day because I wasn't a big fan of the water.
Luke quickly pressed a kiss against my cheek and then said: 'Hold your breath'

I saw the end of the slide getting closer and I held my breath like Luke said.

He tightened his grip around my waist and before I even had the time to think, we were in the pool.

Our heads went under water, but we were above it just as fast.

Turns out, we could stand, which immediately made it a lot less scary for me. I looked at Luke and smiled. 'Let's go again'

He didn't hesitate to take my hand and pull my out of the water, back in line for the slide.

About 30 minutes later, we were lying on our towels. Almost completely dried up already.

I was secretly staring at Luke as he was laying on his stomach, his face facing my way as it rested on top of his arms.

His hair was flat because of all the water and it looked really good on him.

I'd only seen him with flat hair a couple times, but never bothered to pay attention to it until now.

Luke suddenly sighed and opened his eyes.
He sat up straight and opened his mouth to talk but then quickly closed it again.

He shook his head and looked down at his hands.

'What's wrong?' I asked, sitting up as well.

'Nothing,' Luke softly said, taking my hand in his.

'Do you want ice cream?'

I looked at him but shook my head. I just wanted to know why he was acting so strange. Again.

'But if you want some I can come with you if you want?'

Luke shook his head and got up, taking some money out of his wallet and looking at me.

'It's alright, I'll be right back' he said, before walking away.

I sighed and let myself fall back on my towel.

What was up with him?

About 5 minutes later, Luke came back with some ice cream.

He sat down on his towel, looking completely like himself again.

'I have a question' he said, licking his ice cream cone.

I sat up straight and looked at him, waiting for him to continue.

'Did you think about whether you want to stay here or come with me to Australia?' he asked.

I shook my head and looked at my hands.

'I don't know what I want. I don't even know if I can leave my old house behind. I mean, I know I've basically left it behind already, but at least we're still in the same country now'

Luke nodded understandably.

'But do you think you'll be alright on your own? I mean, you need to make your own decision, but if you go back you have to go find a job and pay for the house and what not. If you come with me to Australia, technically, you don't really need to do anything but I think you'll want a job eventually. But then I can help you find one' he said.

I nodded, mentally telling myself to take this into consideration.

'But if I stay here and need help I can always ask my neighbour' I said, biting on the inside of my cheek.

Thinking about this for too long made me nervous.

Luke smiled 'Yeah, you're right about that'

I smiled and looked at the ice cream he was eating.

I know I said I didn't want ice cream, but that did look very good.

'You want some?' Luke asked, holding out the ice cream cone for me.

I shook my head, not because I didn't want to, but because it was his ice cream and he bought it for himself, not for me.

'You sure?' he asked.

I nodded and sat down beside him.

He smiled at me and put his hand on my leg.

'I love you V' he said, but by the way he froze for a second, I figured he never meant to say it out loud.

He told me that he loved me before, it was just always mixed in some kind of speech he was giving.

Meaning I could never say it back. He did that on purpose because he knew I wasn't sure if it was love that I felt for him. But I knew it now. I looked up at him, pressing a kiss against his jawline, because that was the only thing I could reach.

'I think I love you too Lukey'
