The next morning, I woke up from the sunlight coming through the window.

I opened my eyes and lazily turned around to find the bed beside me empty.

Normally Luke would still be asleep when I woke up, and when he woke up before me he would always wake me up.

He had been acting weird all day yesterday.

At first I thought it was just because he didn't sleep a lot because we watched movies until late at night.

But then I realized he once told me he's used to getting just a few hours of sleep at night.

So that couldn't really be the reason.

All day long I had come up with excuses of why he was acting like this but none of them sounded very believable after repeating them 3 times.

I rubbed my eyes and sighed while slowly getting out of bed.

I found Luke sitting on the little table we had, completely dressed and mindlessly scrolling through his phone as if he was waiting for me to wake up.

'Good morning' I said, unconsciously pulling my fingers through my hair to make it look less like I birds nest.

Luke shortly looked up from his phone before focussing back on his phone.

'Morning' he mumbled.

'Have you been up for long?' I asked.

I looked at him from across the room as he just continued scrolling.

'Luke?'

'Yeah?' he asked, looking up from his phone again.

'I asked if you had been up for long?'

'Oh, no I haven't. Half an hour maybe.'

'Why didn't you wake me up?'

'I don't know, I just thought I'd let you sleep for once'

I furrowed my eyebrows at his words, not really believing what he was saying.

'You never do that, you always think it's a waste of your day to sleep in really late'

'I was going to wake you up if you didn't get out before 11 but it's only 9:30'

'Normally we'd already be walking outside at 9:30'

'Yes, but not every day is the same alright? I'll wake you up next time I'm sorry. I just thought you'd like it' he sounded almost angry with me and I looked at him in confusion.

'I'm sorry,' I mumbled, looking down at my bare feet. 'I did like it, I'm just a little confused'

'Why would you be confused?' he asked, still sounded very irritated.

'I just let you sleep while I took a shower and got dressed. There's nothing to be confused about'

'Okay. Alright. Well then I'll go get dressed too' I said, turning around and walking back inside the bedroom.

Now I was irritated as well, he really didn't pick the right time to start being all grumpy.

I was allowed to be grumpy, I was going to be bleeding for another 4 days. He had nothing to be grumpy about.

At least not anything I knew of, but then again, I started to think I didn't really know a lot about him in the first place.

I quickly changed in some clean clothes and went to the bathroom to brush my hair and put on some make-up.

When I was done, I walked back to Luke who was still sitting on top of the table, scrolling through his phone.

He didn't look up from his phone when I asked him where we were going to eat breakfast.

In fact he only noticed me when I practically ripped his phone out of his hands.

'You done?' he asked.

'Yes, that's what I said. Where are we going?' I said.

'Somewhere where we can eat breakfast'

I wanted to ask him were that was and if he even found a place to eat.

I wouldn't mind if he didn't, it's just that usually he did.

But instead of asking him, I decided to let it go. I didn't want to fight with him and I had a feeling that would happen if I'd ask any more questions.
