We were driving back to my house when I got an idea of something we could do to fix this date.
Layla- Toretto?
Tony-Yea?
Layla- Can we go get ice cream?
Tony- OH MY GOD! I LOVE ICE CREAM!!!
Layla- You're like a little child!
Tony- I AM NOT!
Layla- Are too!
Tony- Really? Prove it!
Layla- You need the crust cut off your PB and J or you won't eat it.
Tony- Okay. Fine. Maybe I do act like a child... sometimes.
Layla- So do you want ice cream or not?
Tony- Of course, I want ice cream!
Layla- Okay, then let's go.
Tony- OKAY!
Toretto drove to DQ and we went to the drive-thru.
Tony- What do you want?
Layla- Twist with rainbow sprinkles.
Tony- Okay.
Worker- Hello, welcome to Dairy Queen. What can I get for you?
Tony- Umm, A twist with rainbow sprinkles and... mint chocolate chip, please.
Worker- Cone or cup?
Tony- Layla, cone, or cup.
Layla- Yea I heard them Toretto! Cone.
Tony- Both in a cone, please.
Worker- Okay next window.
We pulled up to the other window and were handed the ice cream. Toretto parked the car and we got out. We sat on the hood and ate our ice cream.
Layla- Thanks, Toretto.
Tony- Yea, no problem.
Layla- Soo... I have to babysit Annie tomorrow.
Tony- Oh, why?
Layla- Apparently, Maria and Joey want to move out here. They think this is a nice place for Annie to grow up. Plus they will be closer to family. It might also encourage my dad to get a place that's not my house.
Tony- Haha. That's nice. You'll get to see Annie more often.
Layla- You will too!
Tony- Yea. I love Annie. She's so cute!
Layla- Yea! You know she is getting really close to sitting up on her own.
Tony- Really?
Layla- Yea!
Tony- Look at us getting excited about someone else's kid.
Layla- I know right? Maybe Annie is supposed to be like practice. For our future I mean.
Tony- Definitely.
Layla- Plus it gives me another little child to take care of.
Tony- Hey! I'm 19 years old! Same as you!
Layla- Yea but you don't always act like it!
Tony- You're mean.
Layla- Sorry, but it's the truth!
Tony- Yea I guess.
We sat there for a minute in silence while we ate out ice cream. I looked over at Toretto to watch him BITE his ice cream!!!
Layla- Oh my god! Did you just BITE your ice cream!?
Tony- Yea why?
Layla- How does that not hurt?!
Tony- Hurt? What do you mean hurt?
Layla- Doesn't it freeze your teeth?
Tony- No.
Layla- Jeez. You are like a little kid.
Tony- Or you're just like an old lady!
Layla- Excuse me!?!
Tony- Th...That's not what I meant!
Layla- It better not be!
Tony- I just meant that you are way more mature than me. That was one of the reasons I never asked you out before. I thought you were way out of my league.
Layla- What!?
Tony- Yea you were this strong, independent, smart, woman. I thought I was too much of a little kid to be with you! I mean you always made fun of me for that!
Layla- You are not! That's one of the things I love about you! You always make me laugh. Plus your heart makes up for what you lack in the brain department.
Tony- Thanks.
Layla- I mean it! You're one of the most caring people I've ever met!
Tony- Thanks, babe.
