I've been outside for 10 minutes. I checked my phone a few more times, thinking Ares's texting me, but it looks like it was a joke.

I can't explain it any other way. He wrote that he is outside and wants me to come, now I'm standing here in the cold.

I even checked a few times to see if he really sent it to me or if I just imagined everything, but no, he really texts it.

Then he should shove his stupid joke up his ass. I'm not a dog who runs after this idiot. That I'm still waiting here as if he were coming is embarrassing enough.

And I'm supposed to be the one with the mood switch? Earlier act nice and now he the total asshole. He wanted something from me, why is he now acting as if I wanted something from him?

I was just on my way back in when someone yelled my name. I turned around, thinking Ares is coming after all, and I wasn't making a fool of myself. However, hope faded when I saw Mason walking towards me off the road towards the city.

And what is he doing here? Does he now also have something to do with this stupid joke? "Where's Ares?" I didn't even greet him. I'm pissed, yes. And on the one hand, I'm taking it out on Mason.

Mason stopped in front of me and said that Ares was in the room. So it was really just a stupid joke and I thought it was real. Silly me.

How could I believe that Ares really wanted something important from me that we needed to meet? So he's abusing my trust, which is already as small as a crumb of biscuits.

"What's happened? Did he do something, Should I hit him." At that stupid statement, I can only laugh, or like I do giggle. "So what did he do?"

It seems like Mason really doesn't know anything. "He texted me to come down, looks like he thought he was funny." I rolled my eyes.

As my eyes fifth Mason's, it seems to me that Mason would be surprised. "Doesn't look like him." Yes, of course. "Especially when it comes to you." me?

What does it matter if it's me or someone else? I'm a human just like everyone else and what Ares pulled off is some asshole action. It doesn't change if it's me or another girl.

"But while you're outside, we can do something," Mason suggested with his typical smile in front of me. It couldn't be more real. The dimples were firm in his cheeks, the same as Zeth's when he's really laughing.

"It's late, and I'm not wearing anything warm either." Mason looked me up and down before stopping at my shirt.

I didn't have a tang top anymore, just my mom's one silly shirt from the '90s that had a smiling rainbow on it.

"Stop grinning." I put my jacket over it. Does he think that's funny or what? Or is he making fun of me? "I'm not going. You think it's funny because of the shirt."
