Chapter 20
Unforgettable feeling

The sun, bleed through the curtains, as Andrea rolled awake. She turned over, to see Klaus laying, next to her in a deep, peaceful, sleep. She didn't know when he had joined her in bed. But she couldn't help but feel delighted, at the prospect of him, creeping into the bed, curling up at her side, while she slept, not willing to disturb her.

Any resentment she held to him, for the situation, he had pulled her into, on that one fateful night, kept on seeming to disappear. She couldn't help but forgive him when he showed such gentle and genuine acts of kindness.

Klaus Mikaelson: The Great Evil.

Yet, he didn't look so evil at that moment.

"Klaus" she whispered, but she didn't even receive a stir in return, he stayed in a deep sleep. She ran a finger down his cheek, watching him stir. "Nik" she hummed, as his eyes fluttered open, grabbing her hand, laying a small kiss on her palm.

"Your a deep sleeper" she commented.

"A thousand years of practice" he teased, smiling up at her.

She smiled to herself, to him, as she laid back down, staring into his eyes for what felt like an eternity, but it can't have been more than a minute.

"I want this" she whispered. He just stared at her, waiting for her to say more. "Stop fighting, so hard to protect me, Klaus. Fighting, to be King of this town. Please, Nik, just stop. I need this" she announced, "I need, this side of you."

"The second I let my guard down Andrea, there are a thousand years of enemies, who will come for you, and our child. You are the perfect revenge ploy, Andrea" he declared. "And, no matter how strong you are, you will never be strong enough."

"Do you trust me, Nik?" she asked.

"Yes," he answered without a second thought.

"Then trust me, when I say this is what I need" she smiled down, at him. "You don't have to be some great evil Klaus" she chortled. "Just ..."

She stopped herself, looking down at the thin, sheets that hung over them, refusing to finish the sentence.

He grabbed her cheek, gently, making her look at him. All she saw, was the tender love on his face, as he fell deeper, and deeper down the rabbit hole, of love for her.

But she knew, he wasn't ready to say it.

And neither was she.

So, they stayed in the comfortable silence for a moment longer, as he pulled her closer, kissing her tenderly. She let everything go, as she kissed him back. The pain, of her sister's death, the worry for her pack, the fear of Klaus' enemies coming after her and their child. She pushed it all away.

Love had always been a foreign concept to her, just as it had been to him. Everyone they loved, had died. All their love had ended in tragedy.

"I haven't cared about anything for centuries" he whispered, to her. "For centuries, I have hated the world around me, and everyone. But you ... your unlike any soul I have encountered and forgotten over these years" he declared. "Your different" he swore.

"Then, I suppose that makes me immortal" she laughed.

He laughed softly, burying his head in her neck, laying kisses down her throat and she relished in it. The gentle sensation, of his flesh on hers, drove her mad. She adored it.

Her eyes, rolled back in her head as his lips, ran lower, and lower, down her skin. The feeling was euphoric. After, so long, without human touch, the sensation was unforgettable. She didn't think, anything could compare.
