Chapter 69

Athena POV

"Oh, bakit ganyan itsura nyong mag asawa?" Mom curiosly asked as we took her hand and nagmano.

I look at Sandro. Sabagay, pareho nga kaming nakasimangot. We came home from the event, SONA and sobrang tahimik lang ng byahe namin pauwi, kasi nga we had a misunderstanding.

I rolled my eyes and look away. "Magpalit lang po ako ng damit" I inform her. Sandro stay with Anton and let me use our room first.

As soon as i close the door. That's the time i rant with the things he did a while ago.

"Picture lang kay Mayor nagagalit na, ano kaya yun?" I stubbornly said as i slam my bag at our study table. I change my clothes and fix myself before making my way downstairs.

"Ma'am, kain na po naka hain na po ako sa hapag kainan" Mela informs.

We all went to the dining and eat dinner. "Kamusta nga pala yung Sona na dinaluhan nyo?" Mama ask.

"Maayos naman po, may mga nakilala po ako dun" I said. Sandro keeps on eating pero nakikita ko syang sumusulyap.

"Hmm.. Mabuti, at sabi ng presidente na ipa-priority daw ang mga teachers, nak diba?"

"U-uh, opo" I unsurely said. Patay, di nga pala ako gaanong nakikinig kanina.

"She's not really listening po kanina, busy looking at something else- oh i mean someone po" Sandro said joining the conversation. May balak pa yata akong isumbong.

"Oh? Athena Jane andun ka na nga, hindi ka pa nakinig?" Mama asked me.

"U-uh ano po nadidistract kasi ako dun sa lugar tsaka andami pong tao hindi ako sanay" I awkwardly said.

I hear Sandro laugh teasingly. I look at him as i roll my eyes.

After eating dinner I'm still avoiding Sandro, ayoko nga syang kausapin. Kainis.

"Oh, babalik nalang ako dito sa makalawa, kayong dalawa kanina ko pa nakikitang nag iiwasan kayo, ayusin nyo mag asawa yan, wag ganyan" Mama demands before leaving.

"Opo" Sandro and I both said. After Mama left, i left him as well, i went upstairs to say Goodnight to Anton and take a shower as well.

We keep on avoiding each other and parang walang nakikita. After taking a shower, i saw him in our room fixing his files on our study table.

I pretend i didn't see anyone as i put a night cream on my face in front of the mirror. After that, i went downstairs to drink some milk then went back to our room to lay down.

He didn't bother me and just continue his work. Bahala sya dyan, matutulog na ako. I turn my back and wrap my blanket around me to sleep.

As time passes by, I'm still awake, bakit hindi ako makatulog? I gradually turn around if Sandro's still doing his job and he does.

I stare at him for a moment as he focus himself in reading some papers. Bakit parang nakokonsencya akong nag away kami? I mean, look at him? Hindi man lang nya ako inaaway and maybe he do his work, for him not to think about our fight awhile ago?

Why do i feel sorry? He's a great husband and dad. And as a wife parang mali naman na hindi ko sya kakausapin and tutulugan nalang.

But i don't know how? What do i have to do get his attention?

"Ugh, Athena!"  I said to myself as i put the pillow on my face.

"Can't sleep?" He suddenly asked. I quickly removed the pillow and saw him looking at me. I think i get his attention.
