Chapter 40

Athena POV

After getting home that night, of course today everything goes back to normal. I went back to work, so does Sandro then Anton go back to school.

"AJ!" Mia cheerfully said as she hug me. "Happy birthday! Here's my gift" She said as she handed it to me.

"Thank you, kamusta kayo?" I asked as i put my things at my table.

"Gurl, dapat nga ikaw tinatanong namin, ikaw kamusta bakasyon mo? Balita namin sumunod daw si Gov dun" Jess asked.

"Ah oo nagulat nga din ako, maayos naman birthday ko, bitin nga lang" I said.

"You mean bitin yung birthday? O yung time nyo ni Gov" Mia tease.

"Sira, yung birthday kasi yun" I said with a smile.

After our chikahan, we went to our respective advisory classes. Wala kami gaanong ginawa kase kakatapos lang ng exam nila, so as a teacher i don't want them to feel any pressure and stress.

Time flies so fast, finally my last class ended. I went home after, medyo pagod pa kasi galing Pangasinan. When i enter the house, i saw kuya Ton having meryenda sa Living Room.

"Oh kuya, andito ka pala, Si Anton?" I asked.

"Ah kasama ni mama pati si Angela(his daughter) pumunta kila aling pasing, nga pala may sulat ka galing post office" He said.

I just nod and went to my room to change my uniform first. I saw the letter on my desk,

I think it's the result from my interview. Ramdam ko ang kaba at bilis ng pagtibok ng puso ko. "Lord, if para sa akin talaga ang work na to tatanggapin ko, if nag fail man ako tatanggapin ko rin" I pray as i tightly hold the letter.

I went outside and finally Mama and the two kids arrived. "Oh andyan ka na pala, anong hawak mo?" Mama asked.

I look at her and Kuya Ton. "Ma, kuya ito na yata yung resulta ng first interview ko" I said nervously. I don't have the courage to read it. Kuya ton walk towards me and rest his hands on my shoulders.

"Ikaw nalang mag basa kuya, please" I said as i handed it to him. He nod in response and tear the envelope. Mama held my hand while both of us are waiting.

Kuya cleared his throat and unfolded the letter, sabi kasi ni Tita Joy mas importante na makapasa sa first interview kasi 75% pasado na pagdating sa final interview.

"Greetings! Ms. Argel,

Taken by the first interview in your application as an instructor in Regent High School in London UK, we gladly inform you that you passed the first interview- pasado ka ading!" Kuya greeted as he hug me tight, mama look so happy as well.

"Kuya wait lang basahin mo ng buo" I said.

He continuously read it. "... Passed the first interview and can have the final interview for this incoming two months, Congratulations and we can't wait for you to be part of Regent Family!"

This is it, I'm going to London. My visa will approved next month. I feel scared and nervous at the same time, but i know magiging masaya ako at matutupad ko na ang pangarap ko para sa sarili ko. I know maiiwan si Anton but it's for him too. Para in the future magkasama pa rin kami sa London.

Suddenly, Mom's phone ring she answered it. "Oh hello? Yes kakabasa lang ng kuya nya,nak si Tita Joy mo" Mama said as she give me the phone.

"Hello Tita?"
