Skylar's POV
-Sorry girl. Next time we will come, we promise. - Lena said.
''No, it's all right, I get it. ''
I was sitting on my bed now, with a book on my lap. I was in the middle of a very absorbing chapter, when Liv and Lena decided to call me.
-We have to go now but we love you so so much! We'll call you soon.
''Yeah, love you too, guys. Bye.''
The girls unfortunately can't visit me this weekend because Lena is going to her grandparents and Olivia has some important stuff to do. I really hoped to see them, but that's okay. I will just have to wait, I guess.
It is Wednesday today so I've survived the whole three days! Only two more days to the weekend. We already have so much to learn and loads of homework. I knew that study would be hard, but seriously? After a couple of days?
Laura is in her complaining mood as well but she is that kind of person that doesn't care too much about things, doesn't stress too much about things, while I, on the contrary, care definitely too much and I'm a terrible overthinker, let me tell you that. I sometimes wish I had a bottom which turns off my thoughts.
I dressed in a pair of black trousers and white T-shirt, and then left my room and went towards the living room. Laura was sitting on the couch with some book in her hands. Her nose was wrinkled as if she was trying to understand something. I let out a small giggle, she looked cute.
''What are you doing, bitch?'' I asked, sitting down beside her.
''Reading, bitch.'' She said with a small smile, lifting her head a little to look at me.
After those few days we've become really good friends. I don't feel uncomfortable around her anymore and I'm sure she feels the same way about me. I don't feel that need of having so many people around me, or a huge amount of friends. I prefer a small circle of them, but I'm glad that I met Laura in my life.
''I'm hungry and our fridge is empty. I'll go grocery shopping. Do you want to come with me?'' I asked, slowly sitting up.
''I can't, I have to read this shit by tomorrow.'' She lifted up her book, pouting.
''Okay, do you want anything in particular?'' I asked while getting up from the couch.
''No, I don't think so. Oh! Maybe you could buy some cereal cause we both know how much we love it and we run out of it really quickly.'' She smiled at me and I nodded, walking towards the door.
I put my leather jacket on because it was a little chilly today and went outside. I was walking down the street and admiring the surroundings. There are a lot of old buildings and each of them have their own, unique history. It was already evening and that made the city even more beautiful. The sun was setting and the sky was not that bright anymore.
While walking, I saw a group of people, talking loudly and laughing. I always get anxious when I have to go past some people I don't know and especially who are close my age. The shop was in front of them and as I was about to come in, I heard someone calling my name.
''Skylar?''
I turned around and saw Jacob. Are you kidding me? Is this guy everywhere?
''Hi'' I said with a tentative smile.
''What are you doing here? '' He asked, approaching me.
He was wearing blue jeans and black sweatshirt. His hair messy as always.
''I'm going grocery shopping.'' I replied lamely.
He was watching me for a few seconds, and bit his lip before saying ''There's a party today. We're going with the guys. You should come.'' He expressed while moving closer to me.
