The day After the two got back to their responsibilities.,

"Plus, your place have some interesting snacks" He said as he stretch his hand to grab a cookie that she somehow baked.
With that she felt even annoyed at the man in front of her as he dipped the cookie in her hot chocolate that she painstakingly hand made from scraps.
"Hey! Do you know how hard I made the servants search for the ingredients to make that! And your the one getting the first dip and taste !"
"Then I shall thank you for her highness generosity" Li Cheng laugh at Kim Li's annoyed face as he continued with the documents.
"By the way what are you working on?" He asked curiously at her share of work
"Seriously I just wanted to burn this nonsense from your concubines and court officials asking for more funds and for you to be taking another concubine to make a heir.." she stated as she continued to mumble under her breath

"Why can't you just pick one of your concubine and in pregnant them, I don't want another annoyance added in my sight" she rant as she glared at him

While Kim Li was caught off guard, making her drop her pen and messed the paper she was writing a moment ago.,

"I really mean it when I said that I wanted for you to bare the crown prince" he looked at her with longing and content in his eyes.
"S.since when and why me?" She asked dumbfounded, thinking of reasons how he felt that way towards her.,
" Your dependable, admirable, elegant in your own terms, wise , un matched, eventful to have around and I realized I accepted all of those by the time when you showed me genuine care or way back when you took my interest by asking all those materials threatening me the emperor along the way ., and you having the title isn't it just right for our son to be the crown prince?" he explained with a small smile
While Kim Li was speechless at what she heard.,
"Li Cheng, no offense but this is too sudden., you along with your concubines treated me so badly in the past and even I don't hold any grudges now, I can't just accept your suggestion with out a proper apology.. Plus I may be your empress but not your lover" she said not looking in his eyes as her ears felt hot.

"Then let me do everything to apologize from what happened before and convince you to be my lover , so in the future our relationship wouldn't be just the title of the empress and emperor cooperating together .," he stated confidently laying his head on her shoulder
That made her even more confused by his actions., but nonetheless she let him be as she knew both of them are tired from lack of sleep with all the documents piled up.,
