*Time Jump-4 years later*

Cayden's POV:

Four years have passed since Amy came into our lives. She's been a wonderful mate. Somehow, before shifting, she knows I'm her mate. And she can talk to her wolf. It's weird, but I'll take it. It's about a week before her birthday, and I want it to be really special. The plan is, to give her a surprise party, and then I'll get her alone in a beautiful spot. That's when I'll mark her. I have known her for four years. I'd say we're ready to get fully mated. I am so nervous. What if I'm not good enough to make her happy?! What if she doesn't like me?! What if she rejects me?! "Calm down, dude!" my wolf, Flint chided. "But-!" "Stop! She won't do any of those things. She loves us for us. She won't care we can't give her everything she deserves or wants." I sighed. He was right I guess. "Cayden, are you listening?" "Huh? What?" Kelly rolled her eyes. "Were you listening to what I was saying?" "Uh, yea, of course!...What did you say again?" "I asked what flavor of cake we should have." "Oh, ok. I think she like ice cream cakes best. A cookies & cream ice cream cake with light pink icing." "Ooo nice. You are pretty good at this mate thing. Now, how about a little light blue in there? Your favorite color and her favorite together." I liked the sound of that. Blue and pink. Amy and I. Together. "Yea, I like it." She smiled. I went out to find Lia next. She was going to help me find the right gift. "Ready to go?" she asked. I nodded. I was a bit nervous. She said the best mall was the one near the Blood Moon Pack. And I didn't want to run into anyone from that pack. I really didn't have a say in what mall to go to. Lia was stubborn and face it, she knew what places were best to go to. I just decided to live with it.  When we got to the mall, Lia had me going to so many different stores I thought my feet were gonna fall off. Now I know how Zack feels when he goes shopping with her. Finally, I got her to take me to a store of my choice. Yes, all the stores were her choice. I think she went crazy and forgot what we were doing..Anyway, we looked and looked all over the store. But, it wasn't until I was about to give up, that I found it. The perfect gift.. "Oh! It's beautiful, Cayden! She'll love it." Lia gasped. "I hope your right." Lia wanted to look around a little, so I just paid and waited for her outside the store. She had to get her present. "Well, well, well, look who we have here." I heard a vaguely familiar voice from behind me. Oh no..Not her!

Lia's POV:

I loved shopping! And one of my favorite stores now, is the jewelry store. My anniversary was coming up, so I decided to get Zack a tie clip. He like those. I found a really nice one that you could have something engraved on it. I chose that one. It was perfect. It took a while to come up with something to have engraved on it. But, I finally came up with this:

To my one and only mate..I love you, Zack.

I liked that. After paying for it and waiting for the engraving, I went out of the shop only to find Cayden with a black eye and the rest of his face cut, red, and bleeding! "What happened to you!?" I exclaimed. "Ruby..She even took the necklace.." he was really upset. And I highly doubt it was because of the beating. I took him back to the pack house and got him to his room to wash up. Then, I went downstairs to tell Alex and Zack. Amy was watching Kelly's daughter, Quinn. "She..WHAT?!" Alex shouted. "Calm down, Alex! If you want to get mad at her and do something to her, promise me you won't kill her." Kelly finally managed to calm him down. He really needs to calm his anger issues. "Fine. Zack, let's go. We are going to get that necklace back." "Alright. I'm right behind you." Zack kissed me goodbye while Alex did the same with Kelly. Alex hugged me and Zack hugged Kelly. "We'll be fine. I promise." Zack reassured me. "You better be, Wolfie." I told him. He smiled and both he and Alex went to go to a pack we hadn't heard from in years. A pack we weren't friendly with anymore.

Zack's POV:

When we finally got to the Blood Moon Pack, Alex stopped the car right in front of the pack house. It took a few minutes of arguing and people staring at us, to finally convince Alex not to just burst in there. I knocked on the door. It took a minute or two, but we were finally let in to see the Alpha. I was a little surprised to find Ruby was the Alpha. The guy beside her was introduced as her mate. So, was he luna or something? This pack was a little backwards. I have nothing against it, but I wonder what the moon goddess is thinking. "So, is Saul here your Luna?" Alex asked. "No! Lunas are for losers. He is just my mate." I looked at Alex who looked at me. This is one backwards pack. "I'd kinda like to be a fly on the wall when she gets told off by the moon goddess or her pack gets torn apart." I mind-linked Alex. He looked like he was trying to stifle a giggle. "The reason we are here, Alpha Ruby, is because we want the necklace you stole from my Gamma, Cayden, back. And I'd like it now." "Ha! You really believe a pathetic Gamma over an Alpha?! I didn't steal anything." The  way she said that last part was so haughty, I don't think even her mate believed her. "Give.It.Back.Now." Alex said, a little too calmly. Oh, I wish Kelly was here! "Ruby, did you take a necklace that wasn't yours? Tell me the truth." "Fine! I did. But I won't give it back! It's too nice to be given back to him or to be given to any mate or relative of his. It's so nice, It deserves to be mine!" She declared. "You give it back, right now, you spoiled brat!" Alex was getting pretty mad. "Alex, calm down. Alpha Ruby, you aren't a very good Alpha if you take things that aren't yours." "It is mine, you simp!" "No, it's not." I was holding Alex the whole time. Now, I had to use my strength to do it. "Here. Take the necklace. You have my apologies, Alpha Alex, Beta Zack." Her mate handed us a small bag. Alex looked inside to make sure it was there. Sure enough, it was there. "WHY YOU-!" "Ruby, they are right. You aren't a good Alpha like you should be if you take things that aren't yours. You even lied to me! Your mate! If you'll excuse us, Alpha, Beta. I need to deal with my mate. My eyes have finally been opened." We nodded, said our goodbyes, and left. "Alex, you need to learn not to blow up at everything that makes you mad." "I know, Zack. I'm sorry. I really have never blown up before..But I guess when it comes to them, be prepared." I sighed. Alex wasn't one to go ask for help concerning these things. He was really protective over his friends, his sister, his friend's mates, and his mate. Now, he is protective of all of us, and his daughter. When the time comes, Quinn will be Alpha until she meets her mate and gets fully mated with him. And I think, she will make a pretty good Alpha or Luna. Whatever comes first. When we got back, we found that Cayden had fallen asleep soon after we left. He sleeps pretty soundly. And we should know. When we were little, we had so many sleepovers. We slept in the same room so we had to be careful not to wake anyone if we had to get up. Once, I had a nightmare and screamed. I woke Alex and his parents and sister, but Cayden was sound asleep. He can sleep through anything bet. "We got good news for him. We got the necklace back." Alex announced. He held up the bag and smiled. "Score!" Lia said happily. "What are you so excited about?" Amy came walking into the room with Quinn. "Um, nothing. We were just talking about the Thanksgiving Party." "But that's sot going to happen for months." I think Amy was a little suspicious. "We were just a little excited about it and can't wait. heheh." Kelly stated. "Ok?" Amy was a little confused and I really don't blame her. "Uncle Zack, what's this?" Amy grabbed the bag. "Quinn!" Amy scooped her up and handed me the bag before Quinn could take a look. "Honey, we do not take other people's things without asking first. Alright?" Kelly told her. "Ok, mommy. I'm sorry." "It's ok, Quinn. Now, come on. Let's get you a snack." "Yay!" Quinn yelled and ran to the kitchen. Quinn liked her snacks. She took after her daddy. Despite his problems, he was a great Alpha. We all laughed as we watched Alex run off after Quinn. He liked his snacks too. Kelly rolled her eyes. "My two big babies."  I smiled, hoping things would stay this way. Happy, calm, peaceful. With no conflict.
