The little redhead knocked the door hiding her hands on the pockets of her winter jacket immediately. It was too cold in Hawkins not to mention Max's eyelashes were full of snow. Just as Maxine was wiping the snow from her eyes, Mrs. Wheeler opens the door to welcome her with a big smile.

"Merry Christmas, Mrs. Wheeler" Said Max entering the house and taking off her shoes and the jacket

"Merry Christmas, Max. You know where they are" Said Karen closing the door

Max walked down the hallway noticing little Holly eating cookies as Mr. Wheeler was thanking Nancy and Jonathan for his new fishing equipment. The closer she got to the basement the more noise she heard.

"Have you seen the scotch tape?" Said Dustin

"What if we put some lights on you?" Asked Mike to someone

"You want us to fry?!" Wait, that voice... No, it couldn't be

"Lucas! You're stepping on the wrapping paper!" Shouted Y/n

"Sorry!"

"Wrapping paper! I'll wrap you in wrapping paper!"

"No, I'll look like a Christmas mummy, Mike" Said another familiar voice

Arriving, Max opened her mouth not believing what she's seeing. El and Will were there, Will and El were in the basement and not in California, they both were... With wrapping paper sticked on their bodies.

"There is no way!" Screamed Max calling their atention

"Oh c'mon, it's supposed to be a surprise!" Said Y/n putting a present under the tree they have only for the basement

Max ran towards them hugging Will and El at the same time "When did you get here?"

"Like two hours ago?" Responded Jane

"How's that I didn't know this?"

"It was a surprise, but Joyce told mom" Replied Mike

"And our mom told dad" Said Y/n following him

"Y/n and I eavesdropped"

"Dustin heard us talking about it"

"He told Lucas"

"And we threatened them before they tell you" Said Y/n ending the thread

One of the things the party enjoy about Mike and Y/n is when they say things at the same time or when one of them say something and the other follows it.
Max turned to Y/n and hugged her tightly, a little embarrassed because she didn't even look at Y/n as soon as she arrived but ran over to El and Will.

"Sorry, it's just I didn't expect to see them after so long" Apologized Max caressing Y/n's arms, causing to Will and El focus on them
