I honestly lost all my braincells writing this chapter because i wanted to be as realistic as possible.

Maudie POV

I woke up.

I sat up, yawned and stretched.

I felt like I woke up a bit late.

"Good morn-" I said as I finally opened my eyes.

I looked around the room.

No one was there.

That's a bit strange...

I reached for my phone to see what time it was.

I grabbed it and saw a sticky note on the screen.

It was in Ava's writing

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Maudie,

I'm so sorry that we left without telling you. We just wanted to
make your last day here wonderful by making a mystery for you to
solve. You have been such a wonderful, great friend. You mean so
much to us, we just want to make you happy. It probably won't be
as complex as the usual cases but I really hope you have fun.

Anyways, enough dilly-dallying. This is your mission.
Find Ava, Ezra and Kyle before 7p.m. and this is your  first clue

"Start your day with a nice cup of coffee with some creatures of the deep
                seas."
              (Made By Kyle)

Love,
Ava, Ezra & Kyle

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I smiled at the note.

My friends are the best.

A new mystery to solve?

Oh they know me so well.

Start your day with a nice cup of coffee with some creatures of the deep seas....

This clue was made from Kyle so it shouldn't be so hard to crack.

Coffee. Creatures of the deep seas.

There's a ocean themed coffee shop nearby!

Its called The Coral Cafe.

We saw it when we were exploring the neighborhood.

I quickly changed into my usual denim overalls, packed the necessities and went downstairs.

Aunt Rosita was on the couch, passed out.

She had a whole wine bottle on her chest.

She probably spent all night clubbing.

I rolled my eyes and pinched my nose as I walked past her.
