Ezra POV

I went out of the bathroom.

Outside, i saw Harriet leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.

Did i do anything wrong?

"Ezra Banks, I've been waiting for you." Harriet said.

The way she said it, was kind of creepy.

"Hey Harriet. Why were you waiting for me?" I asked as i slowly walked closer to her.

Harriet got closer and closer to me.

I gulped and closed my eyes.

Why did i feel like she was going to hurt me.

But i know i did nothing wrong.

Harriet grabbed my arm and placed something on my hand.

She closed my hand and she let go of it.

"Don't ask anymore questions, Just give it to her." Harriet said with a straight face.

Harriet  started walking away

"Wait who?" I asked.

Harriet turned back to look at me.

"I said no more questions, Ezra banks." Harriet said as she smiled

Harriet walked away.

I stood there confused.

She really is a strange girl.

I opened my hand and saw a bracelet and a small crushed up note

I brought it closer to my face and inspected it.

It was a periwinkle colored rope bracelet.

I took the small crushed up note and opened it.

Well one of the ways to a girls heart is through gifts. No matter how small it is.

Well i might give Maudie this bracelet but...

'Say what's in my heart'?

I threw away the note in the nearest trash can

I slowly walked back to the playroom.

Should I actually give it to her?

I mean, it would be a waste.

I went inside the playroom.

I spotted Maudie playing lego's with Ling ling and some of the kids.

I clutched the bracelet tightly

I nervously approached her.

"Hey Maudie..." I said as i sat next to her.

"Hey Ezra, back from the bathroom?" Maudie asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"What do you have there?" Maudie asked.

Maudie must have noticed my closed up hand.

"N-nothing-" I said.

Maudie raised and eyebrow and grabbed my hand.

"Ezra....." Maudie said.

"Fine." I said.

I slowly opened my hand.

"Really? All of this for a bracelet?" Maudie asked.

"Well its for you and i felt a bit nervous giving it to you and-" I said.

"Awh Ezra, you shouldn't be. Plus its very sweet." Maudie said as she picked up the bracelet from my hand.

"I'm going to put in on right now." Maudie smiled.

Maudie tried tying the bracelet but she couldn't.

I laughed a little.

"You really can't put on a bracelet?" I asked.

"It's hard to tie a bracelet with one hand, Ez. YOU do it." Maudie said as she placed her arm on my lap.

"Gladly. Would you like a surgeons knot, sliding knot or backup knot?" I asked.

"Anything you recommend." Maudie asked.

"Great choice." I smiled

I started tying a backup knot with her bracelet.

Tying different types of knots is one of my weird talents.

But believe me, I'm very proud of it. Especially when it unusually comes handy.

"OOOOOOOOOOH! THEIR GOING TO BE A COUPLE SOON." The children teased.

It was such a big mistake giving Maudie the bracelet in front of the children.

Maudie POV

"Oh you guys, its just a token of friendship." I said.

"I'm done." Ezra said.

"Thank you." I said as I took my arm off his lap.

"Its really pretty, thank you." I smiled.

I gave him a big side hug.

"Your welcome." Ezra smiled

"Oooooooohhh!" Someone gushed

We assumed it would be the children but it was Ava and Kyle.

Kyle?

Since when did Kyle tease us being together?

"Oh shut up." I said.

I grabbed my phone from my bag and unlocked it.

"Lets take a selfie, Ezra." I said.

"O-okay." Ezra said.

I took a quick selfie with Ezra.

"I'm going to post this." I smiled.

"Okay..." Ezra said.

"Thank you again." I said.

"You don't have to keep thanking me." Ezra said.

"I just want to." I said.

This was very sweet of Ezra.

But also very random.

What's up with him?
